Put a tarp/sheet under the hedge and the cleanup is twice as quick.

You took the words out of my mouth, it's only downsides are noise levels and vibration! Very reliable machine and tuff as old boots! Still have mine as a backup but now use the Husqvarna 122HD60 for smaller jobs, probably not as robust but far more comfortable to use! Though both are advertised as domestic use, they are more than capable of commercial use. For the big stuff jobs I use the Stihl HS81R and Husqvarna 522HDR75X, which will deal with almost anything. Final summary, is the HS45 worth the money, HELL YES!!!

@@WoolysWorld It’s quite annoying that it has to be done quite regularly on the 45 engine, but it really does help it to run smoother

Thanks for your reviews on this hedge cutter, just been out today and bought one with the two foot bar, and it’s ace. I wanted one for around the property and as I’m a good neighbour I do the OAP’s hedges on either side, well you’ve got to look after the older generation haven’t you? Wonder if the next generation are as thoughtful 🤔
But again buddy you helped me out immensely on making up my mind so a big thumbs up from me.

I've got about 10ft-15ft of hawthorn hedge that's leaning about 45 degrees I need to take off the height and face so I can stake it upright and wondered if this would chomp through the thick (about and inch) branches in it?

When i cut something above 2 metres high and wide its very hard to keep it steady for a long Time. Blade is not very long too. Good for something to. 1,7m. Nice for cutting sides. Like i said for some1 Who use it for time to time its good. For professional work well it will do the job but somtimes it could be exhausting. And yeah its kinda cheap. And loud like hell. Hs82 is better but its almost 3 Times a Price of hs45.

How much do you use it ? I'm cutting hedges today (and most days ATM) probably 300 metres of beech both sides , tried battery powered Stihl stuff but 2 back in the shop for warranty work , one for the 5th time, wouldn't mind but I've invested about £1000 in batteries alone , but I'm only trying to make a living out of it 😎(the coil will go on the hs45) 👍@@WoolysWorld
