About to re-enter the trucking world with Schneider. Great stuff keep it coming👍be safe looking forward to the next video. Thanks so much for the insight.
New video should be dropping tonight or tomorrow morning. I apologize for the wait. I’ve been out driving with the trainer and getting settled into my own truck. Thanks for all the support!
I know you are kicking butt👍staying by. Are you doing OTR or Dedicated once you finish. What would you recommend to study prior to getting there? Good luck with everything 👍
Nice! There's practice with things. I didn't get that with another company. It felt rushed and they said learning on the job was good enough. It wasn't for me. Being nervous creates blocks sometimes. 😊 Practicing within the in-house training like you have will work better for me.
Way to go Rodrigo. Look forward to the next video. If things go according to plan, I'm heading to Wlimer next month and I find your reviews/ videos very informative. Thank you
Yes. I did get my own room. I think because of Covid they’re still keeping everything separate. Pay is $80 a day! Not much but even on days they don’t make you come in, they still pay you. (Sunday or Saturday)
My room was good. Very spacey for three weeks. I bought food but that’s cuz I was not flying. I took a rental car so I didn’t have to worry about my luggage being heavy and didn’t have to worry about making everything fit into one thing. The food they provide at school is ok. Cheeseburger , Cheese Quesadilla, spaghetti, ham melt, or tuna melt. It came with a free drink. But if you wanted fries or any extra ingredients on your food you had to pay.
Hey Rodrigo. I love these videos so keep them coming! I have a few questions 1) Are there restaurants close to the hotel since they don't provide dinner 2) Are you guys off every weekend unless you're requred for extra training 3) Do you choose your TE (like none smoker and such) 4) What model and year truck did you get? 5) Do they give you time to get back home once the 18 days are over or they immediately put you on the road? Thanks in advance!
Hey Abdul! Thanks for the support! 1. For Carlisle, PA - there were lots of restaurants nearby. There was Cracker Barrel and chilies within a walking distance. There’s also Walmart which is about 15 minute walk but in that plaza there is LOADS of food there. 2. We were off every weekend UNLESS you wanted to go in for extra help OR they made you go in because you were struggling. But if you went in for extra help it was only a Saturday. 3. You don’t choose your TE, but you do get to let them know you want a non smoker or strictly a male. Certain stuff like that you will fill out onto a paper when you get there. 4. I got a 2017 Freightliner cascadia. You can see a picture of it in my “problems” video. 5. Yes they do send you home. I was home for about 5 days before I started. I think you get at least 3 days at home before you go back to start your job.
@@rookierodrigo1481 thank you for taking your time replying. I have another question. Are you OTR or regional? Also, roughly do you get weekly if you don't mind me asking.
When I was on the road with the T.E. they still pay you training pay. Which for me was the $80 a day. But once you start your actual route or account, you get that normal pay. Which was disclosed to you when you applied for that job or in the conditional offer you received from Schneider during the hiring process.

@@rookierodrigo1481...do you know if they are going to train stick shift for new tanker drivers to try to control the surge better??? Any info would be appreciated...if you don't know...I appreciate the reply still...
Hey Raider. I’m aware of this issue as I realized it myself. Especially for those trying to listen on the go in the car or truck. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to record another one and I felt it wouldn’t be as authentic. I’ve tried to improve in my other videos. Check them out if you wish. Thanks for your support and feedback!
Your videos are very informative.. Have you stopped making new ones?

Thank you so much! Happy to help out. Thanks for your support and comments! Good luck!
Love your video, and look forward to more of your creations!

A lot of this sounds similar to my training and what I do here on the railroad, especially the pre-trip inspections half of it.
Super! Thank you ❤
Did you get paid the same week you started? I know some companies do. I start fresh monday for inexperienced training.
Great videos. Very informative. Do you get your own hotel room during orientation? What is the pay during orientation? Thanks.

Am I understand you correctly? Schneider requires you to run a paper log every day even though you're using an Eld?
Thank you for all the info 🙏
How was your room? Do they have wifi how was the food? I'm starting the 27 Dec for 18 days should I bring food are buy when I get there?

What about 35 questions test ?
Great Video!
Thanks Bob!
How much is a training day, and will be the same for Cat program?
My training was $80 a day but I did not do the CAT program so I’m not sure. You can most likely ask a recruiter
Do they hold a weeks pay once you’re on the road or do you get paid the week you start?

It is so hard to hear you
Does your truck have a fridge?
When is next video?

Is your truck automatic or stick???
My truck is automatic. Most of Schneiders fleet will be automatic.

Sadly my volume won't go high enough to hear what your saying..
