Great explanation on finding and cutting the proper angles. I am adding a 2' level rail run at the top of my steps and will use your template method to triple check before cutting :).
Holy smokes. Sorry to hear about the virus. Hopefully some of the hearing will return. Glad that hand rail is in place. I'm sure it provides everyone with some peace of mind.
The bottom rail where you said it is level at the end does not look level. Could this be due to the fact the bottom baseboard was not level? I did not see you use a level on that base. So, you were building to that if it was not level.
Oh no, did you have to go in front of that window!? Coming from an architect, that doesn't look right. I would suggest revisiting that decision. Aside from that, good job.
Sorry to hear about your health issues. I hope that you make a full recovery.
Nice work! Great problem solving. You answered a lot of questions for me about spring bolts and miters. Prayers for medical struggles.
A balls on perfectionist. Bravo!
Wait? That rail is crossing in front of that window? It looks off. But I love how you did perfect joints.

That's a nice looking railing!!
Did your hearing improve since you published this? I hope to hear it improved.

Thank you very much. I am optimistic.

I hadn’t noticed.
Excellent Sir!
Many thanks!
What a beautiful job 👍
Should of put your monster protector on the skirt board and plumbed the arm to get the reading.
How did you make that round 90 deg corner piece?

Thank you.
You would love a digital level
Instead of rail bolts can you use nails and glue?
I’m not sure how that would work. I’m sure there is a way.
Good job,, 👍
