Box stores have a 100% mark up on thier prices. Its worth its gold/silver weight, depends on the area and a shop will determine if its a resable piece which they may give you a tad more if its an easier to sell piece and not outdated. Also the stones will take some of the weight from the scale weight of what the actual gold weight. Some stones scratch easy also the diamonds. Anything like pave diamonds or small diamonds are considered melee diamonds. They are not worth much. Wholesalers can buy bags of them for hardly anything. Also if its diamonds anything overva 1/4 karat will be considered but typically a box store will sell you a ring with diamonds that we call salty and pepper, low clarity, or frozen spit diamonds. But sometimes you get a decent deal on some nice stones but box stores charge a fortune more for the better stones

Has a pawn broker been in the business for 25 years cleaning your jewelry we don’t care about paperwork about your jewelry I don’t care about unless it’s a certification. That’s the only thing I really care about so no you don’t have to clean your jewelry is not gonna affect the value in the money I give you and no I don’t need to see your receipts because what it’s worth on paper to an insurance company has nothing to do with me. Worst video I’ve ever seen this is not helping anyone get any more money for any of their jewelry at a pawnshop.
