That 59% are people that have lived through past recessions. That is how we know even if they try to say we are not we know we are in one. I do not need the government to tell me my money does not go as far as it used to. All I have to do is go shopping. People are losing jobs. Companies are cutting back or filling bankruptcy. Moving companies out of country.. Higher interest rates. Defaults on debt. Everyone is struggling. Are people saving money now days? Most are not. Got news for you this is what happens in a recession.
I'm not American, but we have a situation in my country too. I hear that people can't afford this or that anymore, but I work in food transports and we are working ourselves to an early grave so people must be buying more and more food at least. Where do they get the money from? There are only two options as I see it: 1) they aren't as bad off as they claim, or 2) they are buying on credit, and if the latter is the case then things will shut down at some point, and it will be brutal...
and i think the supply is intentionally down so the demand is up naturally and the demand for truckers and shipping is therefore up too bcs of what they're doing with the ev's and essentially controlling the food chain supply. it's the bigger picture of control.

Most of our farms are small, part-time and mostly ran at break even because of nostalgia (often they have been in the respective families for generations). But over the last few years the break even have turned into loss, and even running full-time jobs on the side, many can't afford it anymore. That said: we somehow still have what we need, though supply IS rapidly diminishing. Transports is on somewhat of the same course, though I think it is for other reasons; instead of being ran into the ground by politics and big corporations, it is being destroyed by the trucking companies themselves, putting in so low bids on contracts that it is nothing short of a miracle if profit is made over time. Combine that with a devastating driver shortage and you almost have a perfect storm where the transport buyers centralise production because it is cheaper to just haul things around than produse them regionally, and trucking companies stand in line to take these contracts but later find out that they only have 80% of the staff to be able to fulfill their obligations... And the recruitment is outright hilarious: i heard as late as this year that we only get to keep 20% of the driver trainees, the rest go to other trades either while in training or immidiately after they are supposed to go into full jobs. Yes: this is definitely controlled demolition, or else there would have been measures taken by now, instead all anyone is doing is adding fuel to the fire.
A 3rd option (to go with #2, I think people are definitely buying food on credit unfortunately.🎯) *hopefully* is that people who can afford it are buying extra groceries for the food banks, or giving $$ straight to them and/or churches, etc. Jesus told us many times to help those who need it if we're able, Paul too. Even if you can only afford *one* can of something extra for the poor, the "widows and orphans" we should be doing it - both the Old and New Testaments really emphasize that believers need to remember to take care of the poor. (IF you can! I know *many* believers here in Canada can't afford both food, and gas or bills, themselves...😞 The Liberals/far left here think everything is 'just fine' for Canadians too - or that's what they, and *their* media, are pretending!🍁)

I would agree with you we are for sure in a recession I have had my Gift Store for 12 years (on Sept 15) I am trying to just make it through a couple more months and I will have to close. Business has been horrible I should have closed the first of the year but was really trying to hang on a bit longer to sell off more product. Maybe not the smartest choice as I follow all the corruption going on. Thank you Jesus for a personal relationship without the Lord I would be crazy but I know God is in control!!!!!
I feel bad for you, too. Gift stores probably do well in good times, but no one can afford gifts right now. Good luck in unloading your inventory, DON'T hold out for top prices. Get rid of it as fast as possible, every day that you hold on to it the older it gets, and the fewer prospects you have. It's very hard to look with perspective at getting rid of something you were so invested in emotionally. This is the equivalent of a bad kidney ~ it worked well for years, but now you need to get it gone, it's festering. STOP kidding yourself that waiting 2 months or 2 days will make a difference. Once you make the decision in your head, it will be easier. Too many worse things can go wrong between now and whenever you can get out, dont take that chance. You don't want a car acident to happen right in the middle of this problem, like I did. It can get much worse in a heartbeat. God Bless you ~

If banks start to go-under it will be a chain reaction and therefore gold will take a huge hit but will recover months after, unless the powers that be decides to outlaw gold and silver and force-us into CBDCs which is most likely to happen. Only time is going to tell. Second, if the FED thinks the economy/banks are in trouble they will lower interest rates and inject billions in liquidity as they have done over and over since 2008. We would have been better off (for the most part) to have gone through some pain for a few years and let markets recover over time instead to throwing billions and billions into the markets/economy. Third, IF the powers to be "let" Trump win that means that "they" are ready to pull the plug. IF Harris wins, well, this game will go on for a while until they lose complete control, which "could" bring the Antichrist at some point.

Can goods I had to give away before they went bad. And I didn't have faith that God was going to take care of me. So I have a couple weeks of food on hand and a little extra gas, and after that, it wouldn't make any difference anyway It's kinda like Israel counting on the USA to protect them and not calling out on God that parted the Red Sea to deliver them . I listen to all these Christian programs, and this is all you hear. Covid hit, I have a generator I haven't used bad gas In gas cans. Can goods I had to give away before they went bad. And I didn't have faith that God was going to take care of me.
So I have a couple weeks of food on hand and a little extra gas, and after that, it wouldn't make any difference anyway
It's kinda like Israel counting on the USA to protect them and not calling out on God that parted the Red Sea to deliver them .
