I didn't quite get why TF is worse than Whimsey on quickbloom teams. I personally tested Clorinde on teams like Clorinde, Fischl, Nahida, Furina and Clorinde, Zhongli, Nahida, Furina, and the cooldowns lined up pretty nicely. I agree with your other takes (sometimes one short window with good DPS is better than two windows with OK DPS, and Whimsey is also better at finishing enemies), but at least in terms of cooldowns TF feels better to some extent. I may be wrong, but I feel like there's a downtime with Whimsey when you've already used your supports, but Clorinde's E is still recharging. I mean, you can always use on-field Nahida for a few seconds, but it just doesn't feel as smooth as the rotation is with TF.
Yeah the Raiden vs Clorinde debate reminds me so much of the Hu Tao vs Lyney stuff that people were going insane over at the start of the patch. People are too obsessed with power level debates, especially with characters who largely don't even use the same teammates. Unless a character comes out and just straight up eats another character's lunch (the way Neuvillette did to Ayato) I feel like it's a pointless argument. Literally just play/pull the character you like more.
@@rsfakqj10rsf-33 Kokomi is better in bloom team. Neuvillette is not the only characters to compete with Ayato, that's his real issue. At the same time, is it really important ? If you have Baizhu he can still be pretty good in bloom.
When meta characters are carried by Bennett, furina, nahida: omg so strong!!! When you use yanfei/dehya/etc with these supports: the characters are trash, unusable, carried by furina/nahida/bennett

The entire E combo string can nearly 1 cycle narwhal with my terrible whimsy pieces [need better stats on 2 pieces] Clorinde may look like she does less damage but she's doing consistent and multiple ticks of damage which is actually better than Nuke dmg because you don't need to rely on 1 instance of crit

I am very confused. How do Furina teams not support the window for 2 E's, even tho it lets you get more than 1 damage window into Furina's uptime? I think you are extremely downplaying the value of CDR with TF. If you aren't going to one rotate, you are going to have a massive 8.5s downtime before your next damage window. TF let's you get to that next damage window WAY faster, allowing you to essentially get nearly 2 rotations worth of damage without having to take 2 rotations worth of time. If you're using supports that can sustain/refresh their abilities for 2 damage windows, that is just simply better. The CDR also has a ton of practical value like giving her much better rotational flexibility for multi-wave content (you can check my run on my 2nd channel to see how valuable the CDR was for dealing with the 4 waves), or other neat things like being able to get in a damage window before Coppelius shields, break its shield with Furina, then quickly get back to Clorinde for another damage window and finish it off.

I really haven't heard anyone assert that TF is her highest damage set. The idea behind TF is that it allows for more flexible rotations because her cooldowns don't line up very well with a lot of other characters such as Beidou, fishcl and nahida.
I guess the only real comparable upside with Raiden vs Clorinde is that Raiden pretty much gives you more playstyle with the hyperbloom archetype, it's fair to say for newer player that Raiden is a better pick since you pretty much get a traditional lightning crit dps and a Kuki in just one unit

I would not recommend Raiden over other electros just because she can proc hyperbloom off field when you can get same results by just using any on field electro. Most people's Raiden will be sitting on bench after they get a Kuki or stronger teams than hyperbloom.
I feel like I'm the only one not running fischl and clorinde in any team... I basically just swapped out Cyno from his best team (nahida/furina/baizhu) and use clorinde in his place and it works just as if not better.

I run Clorinde with Chevreuse, Thoma, and Raiden. Raiden keeps the team energy up easily, and her co-ordinated attacks allow you to start any rotation with an Overcharged shot from Chevy, while Thoma's shield keeps the overload coming whenever Clorinde is in use and protecting her from the blowback of the overload. The other benefit of Raiden is that she's more than capable as a second/sub dps for when Clorinde is in cooldown, if needed. Chevy even kicks in a little healing when she uses her Overcharged shot. The only odd thing is that the team has 3 polearm users, but 2 ranged attackers.
@@Rpground Energy hungry comps exist and easing your energy requirements is one of the quality of life improvements a weapon can give you. Most weapons just give you damage, while fav makes you go aggressive on substats. May not be an overall best choice for all comps for any character, but overall they are generally one of the best weapons.
@@messierchicken If you build your character properly, you don't need fav. Some characters are kinda forced into using fav regardless, like Yun Jin or Mika. Even then, for sword users, Sac Sword is just as good in most situations...sometimes better. Sometimes you need that extra application or damage that a Fav just doesn't provide. I'm not going to sit here and say that Fav is bad, it clearly isn't...but the way some people talk about it, they act like they're the best weapons in the game.

I’m a Cyno main so at first I was skeptical about clorinde at first. But accidentally pulled her early going for Sethos lol. Been playing her for a while and sorta gave her the harmonic whimsy set I use for arlecchino and now she is one of my best on-fielders. She works really well as a comfortable electro dps/driver for my aggravate and hyperbloom teams. I only have c0 raiden so I can’t compare those too but If you need a comfortable electro on-fielder I’d say go for clorinde, she is surprisingly good IMo

Well, this confirmed my fear, and my own personal testing. I’m gonna need to do farming for Whimsy. But hey, at least I’m able to simply slap on my TF set for the time being. It’s about the long game guys- trust.
Clorinde raw scaling aren't that high, same as raiden. But when they get their passives up its pretty high. Especially clorinde who is like just 300 less than arlechino C0 doing 3 full NA strings.
It's important to spread the TF Clorinde gospel, if for no other reason than it can in some small way lessen the constant skill issue hot takes of "bUt HeR cOoLdOwN".
Brother this game is easy, and TF can get the job done without needing me to stress out coz I still don't have 2 out of 4 whimsey piece for the 4 set. I farm it every day. I need just 1 set, 2 pref for Arle and Clorinde. So yes, TF is Clorinde's best set. Nice slideshow btw.
I think both Fury and Whimsy are great sets. It depends on what you're doing with Clorinde. For bigger damage, Whimsy is the way to go, however, Fury offers far more consistent upkeep to her skill giving you 2 - 1 sec cooldown with elemental reactions. Which makes Fury the better choice when it comes to consistent Skill damage output because her normal attack scaling is hot garbage.

Great video Philip. I think that acknowledging that Whimsy is her best in slot in most scenarios, but keeping in mind that if you have a Thundering Fury set, or have Furina on the team other sets can be better until you get a better Whimsy set.
I feel like TF is still consistent in Furina quickbloom teams and somewhat consistent in taser, but almost completely unviable in Chev teams. That’s my primary reason for not even touching Clorinde+Chev, as my good glad pieces are already taken, but I have decent TF set.
NONE of this Matters, ALL THE CHARACTERS are the same save for Basic generic passives on every skill and a bunch of limit breaks that basically constitiue as the level systems in reality… Just PLAY a actual non mobile game … this is Aids straight up …

Eveyone always forgets about Dehya as an off field pyro & defensive utility 💀 I'm not saying she's amazing but its an option in overloaded teams, especially if you have low/no cons on thoma. Though my best clears have been with bennet lmao
Basically chlorinde's situation is some people that actually knows what their saying said that her teams doesnt bring much new to the table in simplified terms and some nerd with superiority complex took it as "shes trash since theres other characters" People who said that she's a downgrade to raiden clearly do not know what they just said. In other side I am currently getting great results putting beidou instead of fichl in her quikbloom and taeser teams. She feels pretty more confy to play without a healer than fichl and the times it takes me to clear a room (at least triple kenki room) is almost the same or sometimes better than the fichl tries. I will rather play her till I'll get the C2.

Ive just been using glad and it feels fine. I just dont feel like i need to farm whimsy. And the bennett not massively over capping your atk is going to depend on your gear. If your using lions roar or fontaine craftable he will put you way over. Ive got a circlet with 26% attack so even with a crit sword im getting close to the cap with just chevruse.
i tried her in non tf and cringed at how short her uptime is. will gladly do even half dmg if that means i can be flexible with my rotation and onfield my onfield char
Me who uses Gilded Clorinde and literally noone talks about it Lmao (has perfect godly sub stats on it but dont have any artifact option even 2 pc. Imagine farming getting the exact sub stat for whimsy would be a pain just for 20% dmg increase it'll took me another a years worth of reisin hayst)
My Chevy teams perform better than my aggravate teams. I use xiangling for off field pyro for consistent overload. It’s not great for Aoe content, but neither is her aggravate team. They’re both serviceable but Clorinde is in need of a unit that makes her shine. Fischl is her best partner, but I’d say she’s the unit that makes Fischl shine best not the other way around. A unit that extends her skill when she causes a reaction would be great.
Only Xiangling or Thoma for Chevreuse overload things. Umm..... So why was not Dehya included it then. I pretty sure it should work for thing Chevreuse overload things.
How is clorinde a glorified raiden when her multipliers are over 1300% more than raiden. Her burst is like 300% more than raiden initial slash. It's sad how much people are coping to make her bad. Also yes tf not remotely her best.

wifu over meta, i use clorinde with navia - crystalize is also reaction so it works for her passive which is triggered by electro reaction, other two I mostly use koko and yae for more reactions, but I also did teams with dehya who is great if your clorinde gets interupted lot, clorinde with zhongli and yelan is total nobrainer you just need skill on zhongli and burst on yelan, add furina or kokomi for more hp and reactions with hydro and you have immortal battery, actualy Clorinde brings me back to times before dendro. Good old overcharged, electroconduct etc
I also consider TF as her best set tho, mainly bcs the CD reduction. But I just realized that I run her often with furina, so TF wont be that effective. But my condition rn is that I have 72/182 crit with TF, lower crit with gladiator, and farming whimsey set is suck. So for now I dont even have idea on which set is the best for me

Thundering Fury is not the best set for her, but is the best I have. Also, I die inside everytime some one says she is a Dendro's prisoner.
Clorinde raw scaling aren't that high, same as raiden. But when they get their passives up its pretty high. Especially clorinde who is like just 300 less than arlechino C0 doing 3 full NA strings.
It's important to spread the TF Clorinde gospel, if for no other reason than it can in some small way lessen the constant skill issue hot takes of "bUt HeR cOoLdOwN".

Brother this game is easy, and TF can get the job done without needing me to stress out coz I still don't have 2 out of 4 whimsey piece for the 4 set. I farm it every day. I need just 1 set, 2 pref for Arle and Clorinde. So yes, TF is Clorinde's best set. Nice slideshow btw.

I think both Fury and Whimsy are great sets. It depends on what you're doing with Clorinde. For bigger damage, Whimsy is the way to go, however, Fury offers far more consistent upkeep to her skill giving you 2 - 1 sec cooldown with elemental reactions. Which makes Fury the better choice when it comes to consistent Skill damage output because her normal attack scaling is hot garbage.
Well, thing is my nahida happens to be a C2 nahida and no other team can compete with a 30% free def shred so yeah, for me TF is still the best.

Great video Philip. I think that acknowledging that Whimsy is her best in slot in most scenarios, but keeping in mind that if you have a Thundering Fury set, or have Furina on the team other sets can be better until you get a better Whimsy set.

I feel like TF is still consistent in Furina quickbloom teams and somewhat consistent in taser, but almost completely unviable in Chev teams. That’s my primary reason for not even touching Clorinde+Chev, as my good glad pieces are already taken, but I have decent TF set.

TF was the best for quickbloom but I found if you use whimsy with quickbloom nahida, furina, baizhu, the damage is doubled compared to TF. The entire E combo string can nearly 1 cycle narwhal with my terrible whimsy pieces [need better stats on 2 pieces]
Clorinde may look like she does less damage but she's doing consistent and multiple ticks of damage which is actually better than Nuke dmg because you don't need to rely on 1 instance of crit

In other side I am currently getting great results putting beidou instead of fichl in her quikbloom and taeser teams. She feels pretty more confy to play without a healer than fichl and the times it takes me to clear a room (at least triple kenki room) is almost the same or sometimes better than the fichl tries. I will rather play her till I'll get the C2.

Ive just been using glad and it feels fine. I just dont feel like i need to farm whimsy. And the bennett not massively over capping your atk is going to depend on your gear. If your using lions roar or fontaine craftable he will put you way over. Ive got a circlet with 26% attack so even with a crit sword im getting close to the cap with just chevruse.

Me who uses Gilded Clorinde and literally noone talks about it Lmao (has perfect godly sub stats on it but dont have any artifact option even 2 pc. Imagine farming getting the exact sub stat for whimsy would be a pain just for 20% dmg increase it'll took me another a years worth of reisin hayst)
My Chevy teams perform better than my aggravate teams. I use xiangling for off field pyro for consistent overload. It’s not great for Aoe content, but neither is her aggravate team. They’re both serviceable but Clorinde is in need of a unit that makes her shine. Fischl is her best partner, but I’d say she’s the unit that makes Fischl shine best not the other way around. A unit that extends her skill when she causes a reaction would be great.
Only Xiangling or Thoma for Chevreuse overload things. Umm..... So why was not Dehya included it then. I pretty sure it should work for thing Chevreuse overload things.

wifu over meta, i use clorinde with navia - crystalize is also reaction so it works for her passive which is triggered by electro reaction, other two I mostly use koko and yae for more reactions, but I also did teams with dehya who is great if your clorinde gets interupted lot, clorinde with zhongli and yelan is total nobrainer you just need skill on zhongli and burst on yelan, add furina or kokomi for more hp and reactions with hydro and you have immortal battery, actualy Clorinde brings me back to times before dendro. Good old overcharged, electroconduct etc
I also consider TF as her best set tho, mainly bcs the CD reduction. But I just realized that I run her often with furina, so TF wont be that effective. But my condition rn is that I have 72/182 crit with TF, lower crit with gladiator, and farming whimsey set is suck. So for now I dont even have idea on which set is the best for me
