As a Dons fan i'm loving how we've started the season, however, there is no chance of us winning the title. Sadly, Celtic are untouchable. That doesn't mean Celtic are a great side, they're far from it, as their European exploits over the last 15 years or so demonstrate, but in Scottish terms, they're miles ahead of the rest(not much of a boast). I do think we have a real chance of 2nd should we manage to maintain the form we've shown so far, and to be honest, i see no reason why we can't. Jimmy is instilling the correct attitude in the players. His mantra of 'one game at a time', and 'remain humble' is having a massive impact of the squad. I really can't see him, or the team getting carried away with anything. Will we lose games through the course of the season? Yes, of course we will. Will we win more than we lose? Yes, i see a steeliness and a real determination coming into this team. It's early days, and as Jimmy himself said since he's come in the door, this is a 3 year project. He's happy with how things are progressing, but this is only once aspect of his plan being implemented right now. Once the team is working on instinct with this aspect, he'll introduce another aspect, so we're only going to improve over the term of his tenure.
I dunno. The reality of the result is hard to bear, but let's be honest, everyone expected it. Rangers have 11 in and 12 out, Celtic have been together for a long time and have fully gelled. I'm not too worried. I will be though, if we don't start seeing some progress over the coming months.
