    Such a great video! Got this novice through the job and saved me a shit load of money. Thank you sir! After 2 years, you’ve probably saved people many thousands of dollars in labor costs.

    Excellent video, shows all the steps with important valuable extra tips. Only thing I could add is torq for coil bolts 8# and plugs13#. From a fellow mechanic twisting wrenches since 1966, my high praise, well done!

    Thanks for the video man! No need for torque wrench on the new spark plugs?

      Everything has a torque spec. Spark plugs are generally around 15-18ft-lbs and I just do it by "feel" as I've done so many of them.

    Is the spark plug socket different than a regular socket?

    • @BuildItWheelItExploreIt
      @BuildItWheelItExploreIt  5 місяців тому +1

      A spark plug socket has a rubber grommet inside that holds the spark plug when installing or taking out so it doesn't fall out.

    do u have to change the ignition coil same time have about 100,000 miles

      I'm sure they have a "suggested" replacement time period, but I've found that a coil is either good or is bad. As soon as a coil misfires, etc, then you'll get a code right away and then replace it.

      Sorry, I didn't see your comment until now. I'm assuming it's some type of EVAP hose. I doubt any local auto parts store will have that part. I know there is a gm parts website that you should be able to get that item from or from a local junk yard etc.

      That information isn't realivent for this job, so really no reason to mention it.
