I would have never thought I'd be impressed at something braking and going backwards, but the immediacy with which those hundreds of pounds of muscle tensed up and halted the momentum of the entire horse was palpable.
Well said.

Tell you one thing I have autism and I happen to own 3 horses and not one of them are quarters but I have huge respect for quarter horses because of their pride and heart for the kind of horses they are but at least my big ole giant former 19 hand stallion and 2 mares love me and have pride like they do but I'm forever grateful for my 3 and I think horses are the best part of my life regardless of their looks as long as they're beautiful on the inside and we have a perfect bond together I love them like family like they're my kind. I take pride in horses and have huge respect for all kinds.
My favorite horse breed!
I like her. She seems like a genuinely wise and kind woman!
Love this breed of horse! Grew up with them and they are amazing animals!
One saved my life once. She stopped in her tracks from a canter when the saddle turned.
My favorite 🐎 of all time 💪
There's a quarter horse at my universities barn named Patriot. He's little but fast. I rode him once and even a canter, I was surprised by his speed. I wasn't even asking him to reach his top speed and he was just like ZOOOOOOOOOM!
QUARTER HORSE my favourite. Plus I am getting one. Thankyou
Thank you!
She cracks me . " they are so trainable "" lmao the right person, patience and gentle hands can train any "trainable animal. 😂
Genetics still play a huge role. Some animals are just more skittish or more independent than others. And therefore need a lot to time and energy. While more trainable animal are very very motivated and love to learn. You don’t see a Belgian malinois do a border collie job.
Thoroughbreds are also built for speed at long distances and so rarely do they get credit for it
Yeah I got a rare buckskin thoroughbred wild mustang cross and he's got a heart of gold and not to mention he's a giant 19 hands approximately.
The Triple Crown races have highlighted the speed of Thoroughbreds for decades.
They'll turn or stop on a dime, then toss you back nine cents change.
Nice!!
I would have liked to know how the breed developed.
They started out as a mix of Spanish and English bloodlines brought over by colonists. There's also been some mustang and draft horse bred into them a little further down the line. The first registered stallion was Wimpy P-1 bred by the King Ranch in Texas. His sire was Old Sorrel who came out of a bloodline called Steeldusts.
@@krn2683 Thank you (for your quick response, also). That's very interesting.
@@krn2683 Isn’t That when they first started the stud book and registry, as the QH was about from the around the 16th century in its infancy but not official breed register till the AQHA came about I guess
They have a place called the library, the internet.
@@JK-lp6uw Obviously. But in a documentary coming up on a feed, it’s nice if certain details are included. I’m not so interested in the topic that I would stop what I’m doing to go hunting for the information.
Awesome

اميركان فقط؟ لقد اضحكتني 😂
👍🏼
Can't find them in RDR2.
It's a shame they didn't add Quarter Horse in RDR2 as it was a horse commonly used in that time. There's Quarter horse in RDR1 though.
