"so you got your shaft..." -son starts giggling lol just wanted to say thank you for taking your time to make these videos, its great for people who is starting out in the game
irwin leiva that wasn't why he was laughing exactly, something happened during filming that I had to cut and restart, he was still recovering from his laughter. I'll be posting a blooper videos soon and you'll see why he was laughing so much.
Alvaro Morales fat sticks can be used for lay and play but not very smart. Fat sticks require more fluid than standard cylinders and without more pumps and more battery power like a hopper has, you are actually loosing pressure. It’s difficult to explain but basically it takes more fluid and pressure to really take advantage of what fat sticks can do.
STREET SWEEPAZ TWIN CITIES currently I have my s10 that is in several videos as well as a 63 impala that I'm currently working on and it will be a hopper, that's the reason for the fat sticks. I have hopped on skinnies 55, when I swapped them out to fats, got 65 roughly. Smaller setups with weaker pumps or batteries it won't make as much of a difference.
I just upgraded my lay and play setup; 3rd pump, partial reinforcement, 14" inch cylinders in the rear. The goal was to stand 3wheel, which it does now, but I keep bending the strokes. Any advice? Would those "fat" cylinders be the fix?
Not 100% sure anyone makes 14” in a fat stick. My first thought would be to change over to telescopics. If you have standard cylinders, you’ll likely have to bore the whole out where the cylinders go through now. Also want to make sure you don’t put in too tall of a cylinder. Start looking into what is causing the bind, is the cylinder mounts or bridge holes in the right spot. All this isn’t an exact science so it could be a mixture of a few things before you get it right.
Thank you so much for your help! It looks like there is a generous amount of room for the cylinders to move around in the bridge. This was the first stage to get me to stand 3 wheel and not just hit a corner and 3 wheel. I can't really drive on 3 at this stage because the pinion shaft pivots downward too much bindingvthe U joint. The next stage is to be able to drive on 3, and requires dropping the upper adjusta letrailing arms down so I can be able to drive locked up and still drive sitting low witbout binding; and also run the telescopic cylinders. I might just hold off on 3 wheeling until I get to that next stage. $$$
I have 18” cylinders and I’m thinking about getting some telescopic cylinders what size do you recommend getting to equal to the same extension as the 18’s my goal is to sit lower in the rear but still achieve a high lift
So I just picked up a 66 with a used set up and the rear passenger cylinder in leaking oil. What is the procedure to removing it?do I need to drain the system?do I put the rear on jacks and lower it all the way before starting. Don’t wanna start loosening stuff and oil go blasting everywhere. Sorry for the noob question. Anyone that can chime in I greatly appreciate it
p orio drop the car completely, once it’s all the way down, hold the dump switch down for 3 seconds to allow as much remaining fluid to go back into the pump, this will also relieve any added pressure on the lines. Take a floor jack and jack stands and put the car up as high as you can get it with your jack stands. Your axel should be dangling there at this point. Take your jack and put it under the center of the axel and jack it up until it is all the way up without lifting the car off of the jack stands. Loosen the rear hose from the cylinder, have rags and a cup to catch as much loose fluid as possibly. Prop the hose up so it will stop draining, then lower the jack that is under the axel. I’m assuming the bottom of the cylinder is connected to a swivel ball, you’ll take a large set of channel locks and loosen it all the way and then lift the cylinder just a little to get it out of the swivel ball holder and everything should come out, take apart the cylinder and replace the O rings inside. I have other videos that show how to replace the O rings as well as another video on taking a cylinder out.
Russell Harris Lowrider Hydraulics I greatly appreciate your time to respond to my question. After the first comment I did find those other videos mentioned. Changed and lowered Honda’s and Acura’s on coilovers so first time taking a stab at hydraulic maintenance. Lol I feel way more confident taking on this issue now. THANK YOU. if I could yelp review you I would. A+ UA-camr
Hey Player cool videos and very helpful to those trying to learn, and to those others cut the kid some slack damm let him be a kid he’s laughing what’s wrong with that? Anyway keep up the good work
Appreciate it homie. My son keeps me on my toes. He was pretty young in this video, see how big he is with the newest video. He’s taller than me 😳. “How to Hop with hydraulics lowrider” is the newest video.

@@burrvisiontv What’s the point in getting your hands dirty when you have gloves?
man your son had me cracking up. great vids bRO.
Thank you for posting. ? what are the diameters of the two different cylinders.
Your son looks like he wants to laugh that is funny
Can fat sticks be used for a lay n play suspension or are they only recommended for hoppers?

I think your son was laughing when you sead shaft
Ray B very possible
I laughed when you spelled "said" "sead".
so do you have a hopper and have you ever used the fat sticks? or even hop over 30 inches with the skinnies

ok the s10 hopped? 55 then you put in the fats you did 65 roughly? ....do you have any videos seen the a few videos of the s10 hopping
STREET SWEEPAZ TWIN CITIES not the s10, it was the cari had before the s10, Dont have any videos. Started the UA-cam channel after I sold it.
So 6" fats or 8"fats for getting a good hop?
Sorry I didn't pay the son any attention , I was trying to learn something. Great vid.
