- JustPlanes in the Cockpit of the DRUKAIR Royal Bhutan Airlines Airbus A319 for a roundtrip flight from Paro, an extreme airport, to Kathmandu.
In 2001 we first visited Bhutan and Druk Air and we could not be more delighted to return to this amazing country to meet some more amazing pilots with the skills needed to maneuver the Airbus and ATR into the valleys to make one of the toughest approaches in the world. We get to witness the landings and takeoffs in and out of both runway with some really spectacular views captured by half a dozen cameras. A program everyone needs to download!

Kathmandu is again a place of different recipes in one place. From culture and tradition to adventure stuffs near its surroundings mountains with Sun Rise and Sun Set views. If you could manage time, another better destination could be #Pokhara. Considering current weather situation in Nepal, this place holds pure scenic nature beauty. The topography is quite complicated. Terrains everywhere. It's quite complicated to land and take off in Kathmandu!
Not to mention the lack of new technology
I understand this is the most difficult airport to land on especially when visibility is not that great

I'm sure the government of Nepal will get it figured out. 😊 And, meantime, the clearest, cleanest air on Earth is a short plane ride away, into the mountains. I think it's beautiful. 3 Pokhara international airport pokhara
Two airport opening soon
Nepal only international airport is Tribhuvan. Others are just for small domestic flights

Really sad to hear messages from ATC! Very unprofessional! Seems like he is in big rush! Hats off to pilots and crews who have been operating with Nepalese ATC.
Don't we have any clear communicator on ATC Nepal! We have seen what happened with US Air Bangla! And looks like ATC Nepal hasn't learned anything at all.
