The Land Cruiser concept looks production ready, the Surf concept looks like a fun project for SEMA. The styling from the actual Land Cruiser 250 fits this MUCH better from every angle. My hope is they continue on the track of making Land Cruiser a sub-brand of Toyota, like Jeep, and like Ford is doing with Bronco, and they make this into a modern day FJ Cruiser under the Land Cruiser brand. I think if they get a good reaction from fans at SEMA they'll find a way to bring it to production.
I agree with the look of the 4runner. There's something not quiet right with that b pillar, which I think it stems from the A pillar being so curved. They probably should have kept the rake on the A pillar the same as the 5th gen 4runner. It's just my humble opinion. But I'm still not a fan on the new 4runner looking too much like the Tacoma. With me still dressing up my 2016 4runner trail, she could still be a keeper.
Wouldn't be surprised if this is also to be able to fit in a legislation loophole to avoid taxes, similar to the Defenser and Wrangler, being considered commercial vehicles, having a topless cargo compartiment.
The 4Runner concept 💙💙💙💙 retro done right 😊 my best friend in high school had one. The Land Cruiser drop top would be perfection if built . 🗣️ Come on Toyota let’s do this 😃👍🏾
I'm pretty sure the midgate wouldn't make it to a production model (if they planned on building it) because GM owns the patent for the midgate, maybe they can do the pass-through like the Subaru Baja had, but that's exactly what either the new-gen Land Cruiser or 4Runner should have been or look like
@@Kung.Pao.Kitty. Nope, if you look at the Video they remove the 3rd row and around the 3:08 mark you can see where the mounting brackets for the 3rd row too.
Toyota should do a convertible truck with a Lexus retractable hardtop version. The same with their coupes. SC300 was a supra. They both should've had topless variance. Hardtop Lexus.
Kirk, The Land Cruiser is already perfected with the SWB 70 Series with 1GR-FE engine and manual transmission and there are plenty of tailgates on Land Cruiser pickups in production today. The 2 Door Prado with manual transmission and 2TR-FE engine was perfect during its glorious years of production. 🤩🤩
I wonder if Toyata is considering making an EREV for the sema focused consumer. With the Scout announcement, I am now leaning away from the 4 Runner and waiting for the Scout Traveler
The Land Cruiser concept needs round headlights to give it a more retro look like bronco and Wrangler. It would make a lot of sense if Toyota made a production version smaller or similar size to a Bronco or Wrangler. To be more competitive.

Toyota always hits that spot with their new cool cars.
Toyota is capturing my Honda heart ngl. Reveal the next gen Element already!
Because this mini Land Cruiser would kill there own other models in sales.
topless Land Cruiser so that rouge soldier in the Mid East have some were to stand to shoot their anti-tank rocket launcher 😅
If they do the LC version, I’m all in! This should be the new FJ.

@@rightlanehog3151 I was referring to some countries in Europe.
@@RogerM88 OK
@@rightlanehog3151 Not so long ago, some Wranglers where classified as pick-up trucks, having a cargo partition and the hard top.
So basically the Toyota Land Cruiser Only Fans Edition?
Oh you mean topless

With Stellantis in death spiral, i wouldn't mind seeing Toyota buy out the Jeep brand.
The LC Rox for sure!
Love the 4Runner cause it’s two door but the LC does look close to production ready. Would be happy with either of them.
That's an FJ and it's amazing. WTH Toyota

We will never get the LAnd Cruiser Rox because of the Hybrid. The Surf on the other hand could actually happen.
Isn't the 4Runner they used as a concept a hybrid?

@@BillSauceify Gotcha. Thanks 👍🏽
Toyota please build these vehicles! We will buy them!
this would be a PERFECT Land Cruiser FJ!!!!!!
the 2door, 4Runner is what I want, so that obviously means that the drop top Land Cruiser is well on its way to reality.
Take my money! Need this!

TAKE MY MONEY GODAMMIT
Oh they will lol
Im all in on this. I want this.
Yeah this was already shown lol. Today was just the official video. I teared up a bit when I seen this lol

And both of those were gloriously never sold in north America 👀
That would be amazing
Wow, this is so sweet!!
The fj cruiser please .
Ok, ok, I’m saying that: what about a new drop top fj cruiser?
The Landcruiser looks magnificent
Yes please 😊
Hope it's called the FJ

Perfect Florida beach vehicles.
The surf...but if the entire roof came off, and had a manual transmission.
LandCruiser is what i wanted in the beginning

🎉 really like the landcruiser
5:47 $5K? 😂 umm, Toyota is greedy as hell these days, so if they offered anything like this, it would be $10K more at least.
This is will be probably be next FJ Cruiser
How about whichever one doesn’t cost an arm and leg…..overpriced has been the theme this year in The automotive industry and it’s not looking good 😂
Please Toyota, bring this to market!!! Land Cruiser ROX please not 4Runner Surf!
Give me that with round headlights
I’d rather the runner convertible
hopefully its wider then the land cruiser and more backseat room.
Cool
Yea look out bronco and wrangler for 80k you can have a topless Toyota
hey
