Thanks for the cheat code on the type of lav for the groom. Been wrongly using a cardioid on both for years lol. Love Shure. Had a bunch of the ULXP systems, now I use (3) SLXD for ceremony (dual lav, single beta 58) (2) SLXD for reception (dual beta 58). Best JB!
I’ve used Shure for 10 years. I can honestly say the cheapest system has never dropped out once but I know the distance limits. Shure is the absolute way to go for your wireless and wired needs
Thanks for the cool Video Jason , quick question I DJ some youth football games on Long Island , what would you recommend to mic a ref , standard lav do the trick or would you go a different direction?
I have a BLX288 receiver that has worked brilliantly for me when it was either on a tabletop or on the sliding tray of my flight rack, so basically always perfect line of sight to both me as a host and anyone giving a speech. But now thanks to some reconfiguration, it looks like the RX will be most convenient inside the back of my controller’s flight case. It’s not totally concealed, but it is now behind the mesh cage of my booth instead of above it. How badly can I expect signal range to decrease? Will all the other electronics in my case cause interference that’ll ruin my events?
Always been a Shure guy and past few years i went with Sennheiser. But really thinking about going back to Shure again! Miss my Shures! Thanks for the Content! Awesome video!
Love this video. I’m team QLXD but was interested in SLXD for back ups or in my toads with the dual setup. The Lav part and how you use them is clutch too. Thanks Jason!

I agree. I’ve yet to play with lavs but I guarantee I would’ve screwed this up!

Such a great look into the Shure lines, Russ was a legend!

That wireless speaker setup would be so clutch, in between a real IEM and the cheap ones - will be looking into that one for sure!!
I AGREE
Perfect timing! I needed this quick rundown of the Shure line before buying new gear.
Perfect!
Does the Dualdyne KSM8 tend to feedback more because of its increased ability to pickup wider/further?

THERE ARE SOME PROS AND CONS TO BOTH. I LOVE THE SHURE STUFF

Oh hai Phlipz
Glad it was helpful! Honestly I use the Qlxd and the ULXD but the SLXD is fire and pretty solid for what most if not all private event applications
Excellent video, lots of informations in this short time. Jason is one hell of salesman ;)
Thanks for watching!
I wish you had given some closeups of the receivers, and I felt seasick from all the stepping back and forth in the video lol
next time, google has plenty of images
