I have a 992.1 but I would not have been any less excited about the 992.2 . However, I prefer the .1 ignition, gauges, and rear turbo vents. Oh, and also the 992.1 price.
The only change that is an actual improvement is the front bumper. Literally every other change doesn't matter or sucks. The rear bar looks cheap and ugly. The rear fender contour is unnecessary busyness. The engine cover is extreme unnecessary busyness. Lazy redesign, just making something busier doesn't make it better.
@@mattsellers1925 I was lucky enough to get an allocation and I paid MSRP. My dealers only stipulation was that I finance the car and not pay cash. PCNA is fairly strict about dealers charging the sticker price but most dealers will honor that but rather than having a standard ADM they will have stipulations like you have to also pay for them to do PPF in house or some other add ons. Every dealer is different but you should be able to just go and buy them now regardless of the stipulation
Obviously minimal styling changes that won’t affect one’s driving experience much particularly for those that haven’t experienced older 911s. What will affect your daily driving experience will be the EU speed nanny in the vehicle. Enjoy the upgrade.
I am surprised that Porsche won't make more analog features as payable options. I am sure that Porsche could offer manual gauges and that they could offer a car without a center entertainment screen.
Where the green accents on your instruments of your 992.1 part of a special package? Or is it just the white balance of your camera? It looks very nice - almost S/T like.
Porsche should let the client/driver decide at the configuration, if they want the digital or analog display or the start button vs. turn key. Yes, they could charge again more….
Yep, in a premium sports car there should be an analog vs digital option. It might sound crazy, but maybe put in an option to remove the center touch screen as well.
@@mikerusznak If they use the same 3.0 twin turbo from the .1 it will almost certainly come with a manual. If they use a detuned version of the GTS hybrid, there's no way it will come as a manual as it's not possible with the hybrid system. If that happens, they'll probably create another T model that will come with a manual for the old schoolers like me. :)
992.1 design looks more cohesive, more analog, more old school classic 911. The new one is starting to look like an electric car that's shaped like a 911.
I really think Porsche will be an even smaller volume brand with these big price hikes and EVs. I had a new 992.1 that I sold as after a while it felt kind of boring and overpriced for what you get and it had quality issues. I think the Lexus LC500 is a better value if you're ok with the styling. I like the new 992.2 T offering but the price at $150k with some needed options is asking a bit much for what you get. I might be in the market again if and when they dip 7-10% below msrp, which I do see happening in the coming future.
@@stefanosassi he hasn't got the memo about bigger front brakes and calipers from the previous S, twin turbos from the previous GTS, more HP, better front and rear streamlined styling, new integrated headlights, rear light bar, new colors, trims and wheel, nothing really...
Pure marketing gimmick. Changes to make it new but actually ways for them to cut cost. One change to tachometer and push start can save them hundreds of thousands. Cars are getting cheaper in quality. Designed, built and favored by Gen Zs.. 😴
The car is wack not sexy and the outside looks outdated this is old white republican car that love trump im sorry this car is overpriced and boring to look at pls get to the design center
Very impactful review. It’s great to see all the side by side visual differences
Thanks Michael. 👊🏼
Copy that .. agreed.

Oh the start button is a crime
All the cosmetic changes are simply different, not an improvement. I prefer having the turn signals in the bumper.
I agree. There is plenty of room going towards the center to make the intakes larger
I have bought a 992.2 and I´m really happy. Is a lot nicer.
Did you order it or was it just available to purchase? Did you pay MSRP?
@@mattsellers1925 Hello. I ‘ve just ordered. One new. What is MSRP?

As a 992.1 owner, I'm biased, but I think the 992.1 is a much more sophisticated looking design. The 992.1 is peak modern 911 IMO.
great spot on the wheel offset, i was always wondering why the classic wheels on the .2 just didn't seem to have the same concave look as on the .1

Really? Is it a warning tone or does it actually limit the speed?
No speed nanny on my 2025. I’m in California.
I work at Porsche and I like both, however I just got my own 992.2 and I absolutely love it!!!
Awesome congrats 👍🏼

Good Idea. 👍🏼
Front bumper is better in .2
No thanks - I prefer the 992.1
sure, the same was with 991.2 vs 992.1…….
I like my new gauge cluster on my 992.2 I can actually see all the gauges.
Great Review. But please invest in a mic

Also stop touching the piano black trim. You can sweet the scratch marks from it. :)
I have a 992.1 and had PPF done on those areas.
When will 992.2 Carrera S will be released? Thank you in advance!!
Haven’t heard yet. Should get another couple trim levels soon though. Hope it includes a manual.

@mikerusznak can you please do a driving review vs 992.1 ??
Coming soon
@@mikerusznak looking forward to it
Why are some 992.2 coming with yellow signal lights and other with clear? My shows clear on order. Will be her in about 5 weeks.
Clear side marker lights are an option. or I should say a tequipment option that you can purchase afterwards.
Amazing comparison
@@mikerusznak. Interesting. Amber is a US requirement but seeing the same. You want the clear ones - better looking
Good video thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful changes
Lol no, that push button is disgusting. Cheap plastic looking like it's on a 2010 Kia lmao!

Pushed back to Feb.

Disagree on review. 992.1 much better. Analog tach alone is deal maker.
For God's sake please invest in a proper mic lol great review otherwise
Thanks and thanks. 👍🏼
Mic is so bad.
992.2 better. no question
The 992.2 is no better than the 992.1 It's just more of the same with things (design) getting a little bit more digital and streamlined.

Overpriced
People will only exchange money for an item or an experience if its value is worth more than the money is to them.
