I have 240 microlocs and I am splitting a few of them so that I have about 270. I used to want many more, so I could get a fuller look but I have come to realize that more locs will also mean longer re-ties with a loctician and I want to eventually take over my re-ties. So we are going to stay right here and enjoy where I am at with my just over an hour re-ties.i am 15 months into my loc journey and I like my locs. I think they are going to be even more beautiful when they mature. 😊😊
Thank you for this information. I'm currently installing my own microlocs and I will be making a few changes in size. Especially around my perimeter. I don't know how much I have at the moment, but the highest I think I should go is 200 or 260.
Hello thank you for this video. It is very informative & your so Funny!! I have microlocs and I retie myself; learned from youtube! Your locs are beautiful
@@anydae I don’t recommend steaming and washing the same day. (Unless you are doing it a the same time) Steaming should be used to refresh your hair (once every other month) to much hydration can cause slippage, bunching, and knots. You can use a very light oil (rub it in your hands and pass it through the hair) then steam. 20 minutes is how much I steam for. If I go longer my hair will be dripping water.
I love your hair! I have an appointment next week to start my micro Locs and I’ve been thinking about leaving my perimeter alone bc the hair is soft and fine. Is this recommended? I don’t want to set those babies up. 🫣🤷🏽♀️
I wouldn’t recommend not doing the perimeter. Ask you loctician to make them a little bigger than the rest. It will grow out the same size as the rest of your locs, or it will blend in and isn’t a noticeable difference.
I JUST combined two of my perimeter locs. Idk why I hesitated but those two sad locs look great together now
You’re so funny! Not the sad locs! 😂😂 yes I’m happy to hear that they look good. They always do. Like nothing happened.
Thank you for posting this. I really wanted 500+ locs but only ended up with 400. I guess in the long run I'll be grateful!
Yes! If I knew what I knew now I would be in the 300’s my clients with the 300’s hair be full as heck and look more than 300!
Love love the locs
Thank you.💚💚

🥹🥹 thanks so much! You’re welcome I’m so happy you viewed and commented it means a lot to me 💚💚
Some of my locs are small and I thought I could go over 6 weeks without a retie. I was wrong. I am learning everyday. Thanks for the info
Also show us how you combine a loc that is mature
@@imjustsayingthough2261 I’ll see if I can do one with my client. I don’t have any at the moment.
Here watching ❤
I agree about streaming the hair.
🤗🤗
Honestly 400-500 is the most anyone should go
I agree 💯
What's the hair color you have here? I want to dye my hair before getting locs :)

Do you have a connection in Texas that you can recommend to do my locks?
Yes, @houseofmpenzi on instagram
She’s also on UA-cam youtube.com/@HouseofMpenzi
If a person has newly installed micro locs, when would you suggest they use steam?
After 6-8 months no earlier
Thank you so much ❣️
@@tboogieization you’re welcome.💚💚
Great Video! 😀
How soon can we start steaming? I’m about 1 month in
After 6 months.
@@estabunnyp What would you suggest we use for a steam? Is that after washing?

Do you use extensions... if so what kind and where can I purchase. Please and thank you
I don’t really use extensions unless it’s necessary. Which I make from scratch.

I combined a few LOCS with no experience
I have a question. Is the long loc a wisdom loc?
If that’s the name for it sure. It’s from my traditional set I had just kept one from the two years of being loc’d. (Next month will make it 7 years)
Your locs❤
Weakness mid length is probably due to hair shedding cycles. It’s more noticeable with smaller locs.
Thank you💚💚
