I'm wondering if you make adjustments to your drawings after taking time to observe them for a day or two? I really enjoyed watching the use of the pastel as a drawing rather than in a painting.
I don't have the gift and am learning to sketch you make working with charcoal look simple and I find myself binging your channel just like Ross used to do. Amazing work thanks for the vids.
Hi. Brilliantly, but humbly presented, with noteworthy tips. So, I did take actual notes, liked this video and subscribed to your channel. Many thanks!
Drawing on the right side and having a blast! I was doing portraits and photo realism was what I strived for. Coming back into my work, I want to be more expressive. I get excited watching you! You are helping loads! Thank you! I still want to sell portraits but I want to do more than COPY a photo!
Wow !!!! I can watch your videos again and again I love your technique! It gives freedom to explore something I adore...everything looks so malleable, everything comes to life!!!
Thanks for your work and videos! I'm a potter and I just restarted drawing after years, inspired by your shorts. Keep up the great work, you are awsome bro!🔥
I have only watched two of your videos, “Random color pastel Portrait”, and “How to Draw Accurate Porportions” but just wanted to tell you that I have loved them. I can’t believe how soon I start to see the image come together. I think you are very talented.
"Permanent" Rose means it's not Rose madder, meaning it's not made from plants and so the colour won't fade over time. That's what makes it permanent, as opposed to fugitive.
When you get something so pretty then change it, I go, nooooo! But then, it turns out even prettier. I’m so afraid to make mistakes whenI draw but I need to just chill and go with it.
I'm kind of curious where you purchased your pastels from, my wife is the office manager of Dakota Art Pastels here in Washington State and usually there is a good chance someone got their pastels through them. Haha. Not always the case, but always a good chance. Really digging your channel and It has me itching to bust out some charcoal.
Nice work. Glad you talked throughout. It helps to know what is going on in your head. Wiping out and adding again is a good process for several reasons. Redrawing, shaping. Good video. How many kneaded erasers do you go through?
Do you have a video on the process of creating the source digital image? I have some photos of a subject I want to draw but they aren't ideally lit. Is it possible with PS or something else to add light and/or shadow to a digital photo to create a more punchy and higher contrast image?
Thank you for your very nice tutorial. I was in your website I would like to know if the size of the "print" are in inches or in centimeter thank you for your answer.
I enjoy your videos very much. I can only hope to one day complete a beautiful drawing like this. My biggest problem is my brain never sees one eye is always higher. I just cannot see it at all. I will keep working at it. Perhaps one day I can overcome this situation.

Love listening to your musings, your creative thinking process. Thank you for sharing. Wonderful as always. 👏🏻🇿🇦🌷

Such a beautiful piece, I know you don't work with color much, but I would love to see more of your pastel portraits.

If I tried to do this drawing. I could probably get close. But it would take me. At least 60 hours of work. And you did it 20 minutes. Awesome.
Gorgeous and thank you for inspiring me to go further!
