very nice video, also a fan of gurken which is good but most points go for the choice of music, that eery sound really got into my ear. earned a sub for that!
This is a great tutorial! Just discovered your channel while looking for some “grungy” looking Death Guard painting tutorials. I’ve followed The Grimdark Compendium series for awhile but I enjoyed your approach as well - especially this one as I’ve got a ton of Sector Imperialis terrains to paint up. Hope to see more videos from you soon - maybe some Necromunda? ;)
I will have more stuff coming up. Probably some more terrain („evil“ looking wyldwood) or chaos cultists quick (!) and dirty (!!!). Hm or should I do some Nurgle vehicles or even AoS? So many options….
Yeah. I am actually using colored pens for edges on smaller minis. If you check out my insta you’ll find some Death Watch on which I used grey pens for their black armor.
Great video!! Do you varnish your acrylic paintwork before applying the streaking grime and then wiping off the white spirit? I’d have thought spirits would strip the acrylic
Hey. Nope, white spirit don’t affect acrylics because their solvents are different. However, you want your acrylics beneath dry and don’t rub like crazy as this will rub off your acrylic layers (but that’s because of rubbing, not white spirits). Of course you should varnish in case you’re applying different enamels on top of your initial layers (ie rust streaks). Check out my plague Marine vid. I am talking a bit about it there, too.
Airbrush streaking grime on, neat, next time. Works exceptionally well through an airbrush, then remove with a lint free cloth instead / nail Polish removed pads (lint free!)
I experimented with it but am not comfortable using it that way. That stuff can be nasty and I want to control it 100%. I will give it a try again though.
Dude, love your method! So easy, so quick, can be applied to almost everything! My Dark Uprising terrain is shivering with anticipation!
Thanks mate. And due to the heavy washing you don’t even have to very neat. Little slips here and there vanish after washing.
One of the best terrain videos I've seen. If not the best. Really nice work
Thanks. One day, I will do some more. Have some Terrain on my list wich might end up as tutorials.
Vallejo metal colors is absolutely the best and easily make your own metallic colors with different inks added in
Seconded. Adding inks to the silvers works well. Or contrast paint.
Fantastic work. I'll copy everything !!! Thanks for sharing !

Instead of using a sharpy you could use graphite to add a metallic edge

Great job, my man! 👍🏻
Lovely video!
Amazing!
What colour is the base and the colour you airbrushed on?
The primer was German Panzer Grey. Then zenithal spray Cold Grey (ca half way down) and grey (upper third). All by Vallejo.
What a fantastic job! Do you also do paint jobs on request? :)
