Guys, are you back in business (though on a different platform)? It's good to see you. Are this and Mojave your first two since TV, or do I have some catching up to do?

It would be interesting to see how the death statistics per capita in national parks compare to the per capita deaths for tourists in cities and towns. Great video!

Your final comments were good ones, because, really, those numbers are so low for a 15-year span. Interesting that wildlife encounters don't even make the list when so many people are afraid of that. Also,, interesting that drowning is #1; I was betting on car accidents. Life jackets definitely need to be promoted, especially for boating! My community has placed life jacket kiosks at all the main swimming/boating areas. People can borrow them for free and hang them back to dry when they are done. Fire fighters in my community also promote life jackets when they go into the schools to give safety talks.

That’s such a great idea to have life jackets available for free to use. Definitely encourages using them I’m sure!

Not surprised about #1, my family all got tossed into the New River when our raft flipped in the rapids a few summers ago. It was terrifying. Happy not to be included in those fatality statistics!

That’s so scary! I remember being so worried about the meat grinder when we were there. Glad everyone in your family was ok! -Jack
