I love how you always match your bow tie with the barbie you're unboxing or is it coincidence 🤔 I absolutely love her, I feel like I'm watching Project Runway Barbie Edition, I'm always learning 😘
How wonderful my most prized Barbie is Delphine. I unboxed her in 2006 and she is still stunning and so beautifully made the sun may have faded her beautiful gown but she still looks magnificent. I loved your video and yes my box has the misspelled "geninue" I never noticed it before.
Such a beautiful doll, I just ordered last month. The dress is absolutely exquisite and that traditional 1960s face. Kind of reminds me of Barbara Eden. Love how the gown pours out when you take her out of the box and put her in a stand.
Ahhh so gorgeous! She looks very Marilyn Monroe inspired, just like the iconic pink dress William Travilla designed for her but in blue! Then paired with the short, blonde curls, the mole and eye makeup. So glamorous!
Are you going to be doing a iron, and hair semi-wash/re-style? As I would love to see it after you did do it. BTW, stay safe during this current horrific Nor'easter storm hitting NYC.
She is Absolutely Fabulous!!! I got her a few years ago and i love her!!! But the most elegant and sophisticated Silkstone is Capucine! She‘s the greatest Silkie ever! Thanks for Reviewing that Great Delphine!
Omgg yesssss! Finally you review thisss So damn gorjezz gurl.. I always love her gown and everything... Silkstone used to be a very detail doll... Hopefully you will review Lady of the manor someday
Luv luv luv one of my favs, I have her this is when I really started collecting and had to have all the silkstone Barbie’s. I’ve slowed down since then. Great video Suresh! ❤️🤗
Hi Suresh! Back again. Just want to touch base and say, I LOVE and ADORE your enthusiasm. I can't find like-minded people. Can't wait to save up to attend that annual doll convention in Vegas and hopefully 'click' with some fellow doll collectors there. Even though I'm currently poor, I'm tickled pink that I got my Delphine (soon after I saw this review of her) Bye for now, love ya! XOXO
You're so sweet, thanks for all the fun comments. Glad that you're enjoying my videos! My subscribers are the BEST so maybe try connecting with some of the awesome people here in my comments section. You'll find plenty like-minded people! xoxo
Another fab-fab vid! Suresh, the face has not faded - I bought this dolls when she came out and there was a marked difference between the body and face already then. IMO, it was a matter of manufacture - the Silkstone bod has a tone and the factory that made the head worked with a different color formula for the face. Cheers!
That gown though...Robert Best is so handsome n talented I remember when he was on project runway when the show was relevant on bravo...btw was wondering if you have the Russian model silkstones a review would be amazing...god I’d kill for those...some of my all time faves right there another great video cheers :)
I've always wanted this doll, too. Finally got her a few months ago, but never deboxed her. Might have to now! Thanks for your review. Love your channel!
Yes, I definitely am aware of the earrings. I had to remove the earrings of my Dusk to Dawn Barbie a long time ago. They had tarnished. I watched this Delphine review months ago and stumbled upon it again, but now things have changed. I was a little envious that you got her. A short time later, I got her and she's NRFB.
I remember the doll Midvanii . It was such a big deal when she was launched in Paris MTV did a feature report on it . The store was a converted butcher shop. The dolls looked like these limited edition Barbies. They had that 1950’s look. Dolls were dressed in real couture by top designers . I remember she even had real artwork . Real oil paintings. And musical instruments. It was so ott.
I hope you'll show us her 'after' look. Miss Delphine sure needs your special touches to bring out her dramatic beauty. I'm sure with just a flick of a comb and gentle press, she'll be a showstopper. The only thing that bums me out about her ensemble is the bottom hem of the gown. A visible machine stitch just doesn't seem appropriate for a gown like this, especially considering the wonderful detail on the bodice and the bow. I would be sorely tempted to redo the hem with invisible stitching, but I'd never be able to get the stitching holes to disappear, and I wouldn't want to shorten the gown to accommodate a hem that is folded along the existing stitch line. I always do hems like this by sewing a tulle fabric along the hemline and pressing along the stitch line, then hand sewing the tulle to encapsulate any fraying that might occur at the hem. That is, if I'm not just lining the whole thing and obviating the need for a hem finish altogether. That's just a nitpick though, all in all this is a spectacular gown, and it really did set the tone for everything that came after. It is a shame these dolls' faces discolor, but I think Delphine is lovely regardless. I never sought this doll out, oddly enough, I wasn't really into Silkstones until Lingerie #5 came out, that was the first one that I bought (along with the Boulevard fashion, which she rocks). But now I'm wondering if I should try to find this gal...
Yes, I'm working on an update video for her :) And yes, I TOTALLY agree with you about the hem and after going on about it at length while shooting, I decided to edit it out because it just felt way too nitpicky. Ha. But yes, ideally it would have been nice to not see a seam there. And yes, so sad about their faces. I'm trying to be as careful with her and her environment in hopes that it doesn't worsen. xoxo
I am flabbergasted by her very low market value, her gown is one of my favorites from the entire line, it's seriously just so so much fabric. Her right hand sits perfectly on top of the draped fabric that flows so elegantly to her side, her left hand providing support to keep the bow sitting just right. I get that she is less desirable due to the production lines issue with head discoloration but her gown is just stunning.
Just a bit of historical info Delphine was recalled because her face color had a defective greyish pallor Mattel was taking returns on it. I kept mine because the face tone did not bother me.
Rerooted, repainted to match their certain design or characters inspired by movies, cartoon etc.. theres one like vvaaiinn, mozekyto, hextian, dolllightful etc... also the integrety doll believe the hype doll is amazing you should do a review
Ohhh now I get it. Yea, I would review/collect OOAK dolls. I haven't yet seen one that I'm absolutely crazy for but when I do, I'll be sure to share it here. I adore Hextian--he's a doll.

Aww thanks! It's my version of #twinning haha. So glad you're learning some stuff! xoxo
The dress is an absolute showstopper. So classy and classic. 💖💖💖💖
once I saw the notification, I instantly clicked. I unboxed my Delphine before you did but love just how elegant she looks.
Aww thanks! Hope you enjoyed the video ~
What a stunner! That has to be one of the most beautiful dresses I've ever seen. I love those gorgeous old romantic dresses.
Me too! Le sigh...those were the days (well, of dressing that is) ~ xoxo

This is why we’re so spoiled! This is the quality we expect from our Silkstones! Wish they’d bring back this quality.
Preach!

Aww yay! xoxo
I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS DEBOXING FOR EVERR!!!!
ME TOO!
You even list what's in the background?! Literally the best.
I used to. It got too tedious and no one seemed to care so I don't anymore haha.
@@SureshNYC Aw well, just so you know there's one fan out here who appreciates when you do very much!!
Beautiful dress. Such a unique face too, those eyes.
Yes, indeed!! Unlike any other, that's for sure.

I don't have any of the Russian girls (YET!) and yes, they are so so beautiful :)
She’s so gorgeous! 💙
Indeed she is!
Oh wow, they don't make them like this anymore. What a beautiful doll. I wish this level of quality and detail would come back.
Beautiful doll 😍😍😍 great review !
Thank you!
I've always wanted this doll, too. Finally got her a few months ago, but never deboxed her. Might have to now! Thanks for your review. Love your channel!
Oh but you must! She's no fun in the box...she's definitely an out-of-the-box kind of girl.
Delphine is absolutely gorgeous Suresh!! No wonder she is your favorite doll 💖💖💖
Yes, I think so, too :) xoxo
that gown is heaven.....
It really is!!
The fact that a silkstone barbie's clothes are constructed better than most humans really show the attention to detail they put in these dolls

The detail on that dress is amazing! The quality today doesn't compete. I'm sure you'll be giving that thing a good press?
Totally amazing. And yes, I'm working on an update video for her. Stay tuned ~

She’s beautiful. Also very like Marilyn Monroe in how to marry a millionaire.
What do you think of Re-created dolls, like would you collect them?
What does "re-created" mean? Recreated by who/what/where/why?
Rerooted, repainted to match their certain design or characters inspired by movies, cartoon etc.. theres one like vvaaiinn, mozekyto, hextian, dolllightful etc... also the integrety doll believe the hype doll is amazing you should do a review
