"you did bring me joy, such terrible, terrible joy" this line in particular ruined me. It's the perfect way to describe loving someone or something so much and the inevitable heartbreak that follows when it's gone.
I broke down when Geppetto’s voice breaks as he says “I KNOW! But…” while holding Pinocchio’s body. I love David Bradley’s delivery of that line. I really wanted to hug this Geppetto, especially when Carlo died. 😢
the stop motion animation and the voice acting here really made these characters portray more emotion and humanity than even the hyperrealistic CGI and human actors in Disney's live action remake
I wanted to hug him when Carlo died, I also love when he voice breaks as he holds Pinocchio’s body & he says “I KNOW! But…” He was a better Geppetto than Tom Hanks, because you actually get to see him with his biological son before he died. 😢
I love Del Toro making biblically accurate angels and such beings be more common for the screen. It's kinda weird that he says they're based on specifically Mexican angels, when it's just angels from Ezekiel and Revelations he's putting up. But hey, I'm not complaining.
2:17-2:29 Pinocchio: Then I will be Pinocchio. And you will be my Papa. Will that do? Gepetto: That’ll do, Pinocchio. That’ll do. Cue That’ll do Babe by Randy Newman and Peter Gabriel from Babe: Pig in the City
Del Toro was vocally planning to make it since 2008. It just took time. It works out because you wouldn't have gotten the artists and actors you got if it was made back then.
I was expecting Pinocchio to ask Geppetto what to do about Carlo, & he just says “I’ll always have Carlo with me, he’s in here”. Geppetto then points at his heart. Then as they live their lives until Pinocchio is the only one left, Geppetto doesn’t visit Carlo’s grave every single day like he used to, finally excepting his death.
No, a fairy. Not like your typical modern interpretations of a fairy, but an eerie being of the Fair Folk. They function by their own set of morals typically.

I love how Sebastián at the beggining only wanted a wish for himself but later doesnt hesitate to save pinocchio.
He sacrificed his desire to be the greatest author of his novel so that Pinocchio can live again.
I'm not gonna cry...I am NOT gonna cry...
"Then I will be Pinocchio. And you will be my papa. Will that do?"

I bawled my eyes out last night watching this and I just rewatched the clip and cried again

When Sebastian and Geppatto wanted Pinocchio to be alive again, that’s how you know they really cared and loved about him the whole time.❤
you said it, bro
David Bradley…
Man I already loved him before this but every line he gives just makes me tear up.
Better than Tom Hanks
@@LuisLopez-sb1rp Cleared Tom Hanks with ease. David was the best Geppetto in my opinion.
@@torchlight1785 This was the best Pinocchio in my opinion, I fail to find one thing wrong with it.
It's a beautiful movie.

The part when Geppetto says to Pinocchio to be who he really is keeps touching my heart

I love the design of the "fairy". It's angelic in a way.
Because its the representation of life
What ever happens, happens and then we are gone. That line of Sabastian J. Cricket made me so emotional. This movie is a truly masterpiece! ❤️
David Bradley nailed every line in this movie

Sebastian J. Cricket made a good wish to make Pinocchio live again. But he did not wish him to be a real boy
Pinocchio at the end was a real boy. Sure, he's made of wood. But he still lives one life, and that's more real than being made of flesh and bones

Pinocchio: Then I will be Pinocchio. And you will be my Papa. Will that do?
Gepetto: That’ll do, Pinocchio. That’ll do.
Cue That’ll do Babe by Randy Newman and Peter Gabriel from Babe: Pig in the City
This scene was very moving: Seeing Pinocchio happy to be back with his father, and hugging him so hard 2:28, it was emotional.
Where has this movie been all our lives?

@@Jacobcoleyray Plus it's a stop-motion movie... Not only do they take years to make but they're also not easy to make.

The Blue/violet Guardian Spirit looks like Seraphim
ik this is a serious moment but it also looked like he straight up ripped pinocchio’s head off for a sec
How did they get a bibically accurate angel in here
Is geppetto voiced by the same guy who voiced Merlin in the tales of Arcadia trilogy?
Yes. He’s also Argus Filch in Harry Potter.

is that a Seraphim?
S-Wood 😂
