My jaw dropped the first time I heard Dan sing this. How did he do that? He was singing the Andre Matos cover. Andre is lead singer of Helloween and is one of Dan's singing inspirations. He studied Andre's vocals to learn how to sing falsetto. Thanks for your great reaction I wish we could have heard the last couple of minutes but something went wrong with the audio.
Andre matos was one of Dan's reasons for singing, his does a cover of angra's song "carry on" as a tribute to Andre when he died, Dan said Andre was one of his big inspirations for learning his falsetto.
I’m always amazed by Dan’s control over his voice. The smooth and gorgeous shifts up and down are mind-blowing. Andre has a soft and high voice, not nearly as dramatic as Dan’s, or of course Kate’s. And I agree - I think he attempts some incredible performances (like the HallelujahChous), just to show that he can. Thanks for reacting to this bravura take on a Kate Bush classic.

Someone in one of the other comments mentioned The Last Goodbye - a beautiful song, covered beautifully by him, or so I think. Likewise, Sleeping Sun, which is a cover he does that is favourite of mine.
With all my respect to this guy's talent, I have Wulthering Heights on my playlist and listen to Kate's original version almost every night. I really didn't like this guy's version. I'm not against versions, as long as the person has their own unique way of singing. This guy just imitates Kate Bush's voice.
It’s a cover….. a tribute. But not everybody has to like it. We all have our own tastes & likes. But I wouldn’t discount Dan right off the bat if you’ve never heard his other songs. He has many covers (about 250), along with originals with his band Fearless. Sometimes he stays true to the original, sometimes he turns them into his own, but they’re always flawless & done with sincere respect to the original song and its artist. You should check out Ken’s analysis/reaction of Dan Vasc’s Amazing Grace on this channel. I don’t know anybody that isn’t moved by it!🫶
