Is it bad that I follow the dance easier by watching the background dancers since they don't have the sparkly animations to make sure you're staying in synch? Lol
there is a stealth mode which turn off the guides, but i think it is a bit too far. I wanted the guides to be less obnoxious and to not flash and pop and distort the image...

Yes! That's actually the best way to follow the dance, because all the flashy things block the actual dancer.
