  • This is an Ad. Jamie’s created the best of both worlds with this awesome recipe. Based on the amazing Japanese Omurice, it's a seemingly traditional looking omelette but cut into it to discover a delicious, silky scrambled egg filling! Served on a lush tomato salad and drizzled with chilli dressing this dish will wake you up whatever time of day you eat it.

    A 5 min video with a 10 second promotion is not really an ad. It's more product placement.
    Still, the honesty is appreciated..

      More to the point, there are certain regulations in place that require UA-camrs to disclose when they are doing a sponsored advertisement.

    this is how I've been doing my omelettes for a long time, I watched Jacques Pepin's video a couple dozen times and spent a week eating nothing but omelettes.
    its good to see you teaching others how to do it Jamie because it really is the best way to eat an omelette in my opinion.

    Hey Jaimie I tried this recipe, let's not talk about how the chilli sauce murdered my taste buds even after removing the seeds, I found that the biggest problem with this dish is that it is too soggy. The tomatoes are pretty loaded with liquid, the chilli sauce is already watery, and the eggs are creamy on the inside, it was like having a spicy tomato egg soup. I would suggest this recipe with a more firm and crispy form of omlettes, the one where the eggs cook to their solid state and have a crispy texture to them aided by a protein, perhaps bacon or ground beef, to balance out the liquidity of tomatoes and chilli sauce

    • @MilanVoorhees
      @MilanVoorhees 5 років тому +10

    • @IrisCrain

      One of the *beauties* of Jamie's food in today's cooking world is his simplicity. Even a fairly complicated (for many basic home cooks) cooking technique is made very easy with his conversational tone and easily understood terminology. Add in the wonderful flavors and explanations of how to use basic ingredients to wonderful effect and it totally makes sense why he's popular. It's not only healthy, but also very frugal, creates a lot less waste, and means even people on food assistance programs can cook healthy family meals, which **CANNOT** be understated!!!!!! Those who are not on public food assistance programs for some reason can't seem to understand why those who are, statistically, tend to be much less healthy and eat less healthy. Eat with a low-income family for a full week and see why. Jamie understands this, as based on his foundation. Kudos Jamie!

    Reached home late from work with an empty stomach, tried this recipe and it was fantastic. I didn't have cheese and basil at home, still it tasted fabulous. Thank you so much for the recipe!!!

    Jamie, this scrambled omelette looks really gorgeous. It definitely rocks with this seasoned tomatoes and chilli sauce. Congrats from Brazil!
