The production drilling is only the first step in the process. The well must be completed by a workover rig before production can begin. Also there’s no information about shutting the well in nor about removal of cuttings and cleaning of the mud across the shale shakers. Half a job only.

Roughneck here. If you’re drilling directional with a motor and monels sure the whole string can turn but if you’re sliding/building the curve THEN only the bit turns.

@@lincolnprojectnemesis3253 Actually many operators will run a motor even when drilling a straight well. With a motor in the string you dont have to turn the string as fast which helps maintain good hole condition.
