I give these employees a lot of credit. Their now-former bosses were scumbags but thankfully, that didn't fall to their insidious level of spite and selfish petulance. Steven, Katy, Sara, Mateen et al held firm to their values and morals, thus achieving great success.
I dont mind a waitress being paid salary instead of tips (its how we do it in Australia anyway), but it should be made clear to the patrons that all tips are optional. That way they can still reward exemplary service.
"trying to enjoy your meal when suddenly you feel like youre in the middle of a circus" well youre already in the middle of a circus if youre at amys baking company
Momma Cherri's is by far my favorite episode of KN. I love Brian and Cherri, they both have this joy and passion about them and I was happy that the restaurant went on for a few years after the episode and that both of them are doing well.
There was also the lady who made the homemade Carrot Cake and other desserts (forgot the restaurant) and David Blaine ("The Burger Kitchen"), who was really just prevented from bringing his best by the stubborn owners.
@@DirgeHole-2866 Oh yeah, but that didn't affect his intrinsic abilities as a chef...he just wasn't allowed to cook any of his own recipes and had to do the crappy ones the owners came up with. They were probably two of the most annoying owners to me other than Amy and Sammy.
@GamingDrummer89 And they bought this place via fraud from stealing from their son's inheritance ( they didn't have their own???) , expected him to not only work there but to pay every thing they couldn't do immediately including paying the skilled chef.
@@NerdyHippy IIRC Chef Ramsay mistook him for the magician at first and the waiter told him that it happened a lot at the restaurant when he was there.
Amy was a crazy person and Sammy was a jark no worder Gordon walked out like he said they where too far gone and Amy was crazy and the food was bad and they did not care about the food or there business
You know what though. It was probably a blessing that Katie got fired. Gordan literally couldn't help Amy's Baking Company, and when he got someone to return, they were even more insane than last time.
I was an extra on an upcoming episode of the Kitchen Nightmares revival. It's not staged. The producers tell the extras "If there were ever a time to be a Karen, it's now", but that's all the direction they're given. That ABC episode is purely organic. If you don't believe me then mark the date and look out for a server named Guiseppe who got the wind taken out of his sails REAL quick by Ramsey
Wow that first one. It was a passive aggressive question and that would bug me too. But $8 was normal back then lol. I only got $7 and had to look over a whole salad bar and sell food 😅 hard to feel bad on that one. I always had my bosses back even if they were stressed or jerks. Then sometimes it is best to know when to quit a job.
She was a 'food runner' (as a european i'm not entirely sure what it mean, something like only bringing the food out? Never heard of it before Ramsay went to Murica). Does that law extend to food runners too?
@olgahein4384 the laws around tipping in the US can be kind of weird. So, basically, anyone who's working in a position where tips would be expected should be receiving them, no matter their title. Yes, it's illegal to withhold tips from servers, but ONLY if the tips are part of the server's wage (as in, if the minimum wage is $7.25/hr, a restaurant can pay a server $5/hr, but that other $2.25/hr MUST be made/paid in tips). So, Samy, sadly might well have gotten away with that one on a technicality, because as he and Amy both mentioned, they paid their servers above minimum wage (something like $11/hr). So, they're not required to be tipped. Still a scumbag move, tho.
Still don't understand why Amy had to fire her lol
Because she is a literarl man child that can't take any criticism 😂
She doesn't like being questioned no matter how innocuous.
I would call this a blessing in disguise.
Because she's the narcissist that other narcissists look at and say "Wow, what a narcissist!"
I don’t know either. She’s just delusional.
At least Chef Mic did his job. Everybody in that kitchen put a lot on his plate EVERY NIGHT. RIP in pieces you will be missed. 😭😭😭
He did an exceptional job
Let's have a moment of silence for Chef Mic.
All of these employees deserve one “slap their boss” card
Only ONE?
Amy and Sammy both need way more than a slap
Invalid because a lot of these so called bosses needed a lot more than a slap.

The Cake Lady Sharon has her own shop and makes delicious looking things every day. I follow her on a Facebook.
Part 2 should be Sharon, Genevieve, Ami, Pat, Chef Aaron, and Joe Nagy’s entire staff

They make that bread pudding sound amazing. I've actually never had bread pudding. What's it like?
It's soooo good. You need to try it someday
It's delicious especially when served straight out the oven with vanilla ice cream!
it’s sooo good, when it’s made right the bread it’s soft and the egg/cream mixture is fluffy, and when there’s some cinnamon🥹 chefs kiss🤌
I need to see/try it myself.
