Just installing the floor insulation is hard enough. All the cleaning and whipping down with denatured alcohol.
It would take me just a month to do that. It's no wounder why all the companies and why they charge do much.
Just think, you have all the electrical work and DC SOLAR work to install.
Not including the bed. Cabnets, sink, shower handle, water tank, water heater? , refrigerator.
The list goes on and on. Cabnets. Wow
Yes, I didn't expect it was so much work, especially when you are not a specialist as me. But the process of learning while doing is also amazing and you feel so happy when you see the final result thank you very much for your support and for following. Very appreciated 🙏🙂🥂
what is a thermal bridge ?
Hi, thanks for asking. I'm no expert but basically it's a heat transfer between materials. In a motorhome it occurs on the sheet metal of the bodywork and the difference in temperature between inside and outside can create rust in the long run due to the condensation. So the insulating materials must have closed cells to prevent the passage of steam. I tried to avoid leaving the sheet metal exposed inside as much as possible or at least that's the idea. Me too! :) but the Italian laws on the weight of loads are very strict so I tried to create a light and modular floor. Thanks anyway for your advice.

Why not? :) I started as you say (with a Skoda Roomster) but then I needed a more versatile campervan that I can use in every season, when it's hot or cold or raining, where I can work in with my computer, and also a cozy place where to stay when I am travelling. I also like that it's as stealthy as possible, and I love DIY :) Anyway, thank you for your attention.
