Cool commercial. Thanks for posting. I like the leathers they were wearing, Kenny's championship road race leathers. Can't say I liked riding the FJ though. Kind of a wallowing tank....
Awesome bikes. I had an 1100, then 3 1200's. Heavy on fuel and chains, but bulletproof and just super torquey and comfortable as well. Add Blue spot R1 brakes and braided brake lines to give it great brakes as well.
Ah yes , the days of sub - modest lean angles and soggy progressive fork springs ... Engine on 1200 was kinda ok ; 126mph on a very damp ( aquaplaning though not the fastest I've experienced , 225kph at Oran Park takes that one out ) drag strip south of Auckland . Won money & booze plus a spark plug voucher ; again ...
Kenny and Eddie are 2 of my dad’s FAV racers!

I weigh more than Kenny and Eddie, and on my first really hard ride...ripped the belly fairing right off of my 1985 FJ1100...loved that bike.
Miss mine. That smoking rear tire was cool, but on the highway, it was just a stable rocket.
Awesome motard! Ty
Considering the FZR1000 was already well into development by the time this was written it must have caused some chuckles for the design team.
Is a cool bike
Epic.
