I had a bunch of money plants on my balcony which grew like a forest and we were planning to shift to a new house and while clearing the pots we noticed that a pigeon had nested in between those pots without us noticing for days. Also the egg hatched just when we were about to leave. Fortunately my new house was just a few yards away from my old house so I just used to visit my old house to water those plants until the baby pigeon grew up. Finally it flew away after 1 month and I was able to successfully take my plants back. Glad I saved both my plants and the pigeon too.
That's a really lovely story I had a similar one when robins came to nest on my balcony window box hi up and they don't normally apparently nest higher than 9 ft

Thanks!!By chance I saw your video. I was just searching for this option since last 10 days. I just clicked on your video and got the way out. Great guidance. The only issue is we don't have a connection near the terrace, so guess that's gonna be a challenge as the kitchen is also far off, and I have 2 terraces, not much plants like your's but just 20 to 30 , good enough for a set on Amazon which I just checked as per your link. Great!!

I've tried twine thread for watering. If you put the watering bucket at a height, the overwatering can happen. As gravity too is pulling water. However, if you put bucket slightly lower than pot surface height or at same level, the water is pulled by true capillary action only. This approach does have a slight risk of underwatering. Make sure in 2nd approach that you do not leave any droopy U loops in the thread outside the pot. Or else water will drip out of that point.

You can also use a combo of tplink smart switch and solenoid valve in drip irrigation....water flow schedule can then be controlled through an app remotely also
I also did installed drip irrigation system 2 years back. I'm controlling it with Raspberry PI and a relay.

At last Got your new Video u know by seeing your videos I am so inspired and also made a beautiful 🤩 mini garden in my terrace 🪴
We have implemented wick irrigation for our terrace garden. In this a pipe runs on top off which the pots are placed. A thick wick made of cloth and filled with water retaining materials runs through the pot and is dipped into the pipe which is filled with water. It works quite well and plants also grow faster as they take the right amount of water themselves. We can fill the pipe with enuf water whenever we go somewhere. Like a week or so. But you can see this is only suitable for terrace or so where you can organise this plumbing system. Plus there is a limit to how long this can water based on the capacity of the pipe as opposed to drip irrigation sort of thing.

Hi cudos to you for all the work you're doing on this channel. Just one feedback about bucket and a rope methode. Place the bucket at a lower height to avoid water running through.
When we place the bucket at higher place than plants, gravity will also work.
When we place the bucket at lower place than plants, pure capillary action will work.
It successfully worked for me for 8 days and i think it would have worked for 3-4 more weeks.

I used the latter system, when i went to village for 4 days. And yes it helped my plants to get water. And after coming from village, my plants were alive(healthy).

For t-shirt method connect tap to bucket and put a ball overflow stopper.
Then put t-shirt strips little far from plant in the pot. So over watering will not affect plant health.
Dear Ekta it's always soothing to hear your voice hope u and ur family is doing fine.. Dear I can see white curtains behind can you throw some light on how installed and maintain them. Asking because I have ever recently purchased IKEA white curtains they r 2x in size and thinking how will I maintain the whitness of it.
