Workout consisted of 8x4minutes with a 2 minute float recovery.
Athletes in the video are;
Zane Robertson (59.47 Half Marathon),
Thomas Longosiwa (Olympic Bronze in 5000m, 12.49 for 5000m)
Jairus Birech (7.58 Steeplechaser, Diamond League winner)
Wilson Kipsang (Previous Marathon World Record Holder, 58.59 1/2 Marathon, Olympic Bronze Medalist)
Solomon Mutai (3rd in the World Championships in the Marathon)
Kenyan #1: "What is he saying?"
Kenyan #2: "I can't understand him."
Kenyan #3: "I think he told the cows to go home."

NumidianKing I work as a security guard n I run 15km to work evening I run 42 or 41 n coming from night shift going home I run 43 minutes I work 12 hours anything is possible if u put in
3"30 as recovery pace ? That's crazy . My 1km BP is 3"30 . These guys have made feel like I do nothing in my training .

+Rafael Oliveira You are right that is definitely not him. Doesn't look anything like him physically and his running style and gait is way different. He holds his arms super low when he runs the guy he labeled Kipsang has his a higher arm carriage. Great video though

8 repeats of 4minutes at 14mph pace. Thats good for dopers. Regular folks need to go easier, way easier or you get a heart attack and die.
They aren't dopers, pretty sure the professionals can run this pace.

That was believed a few years ago. In the meantime the vast majority of running experts found out that there are more important things to focus when running., e.g. cadence, not to overstride, posture and many more.

So funny when my friend asked me how many SIS Gels I take.... Look at this lot..... where's the water stations and free Gel tables..... Get used to being with out it !
Given this was only 9 miles and in about 45mins, they wouldn’t take gels. I’d also be surprised if your mate takes one for a 45min run.
However, on their long runs a driver will drive beside them for the whole run and give gels/drinks at regular intervals.
Is the background track on the car radio (0:25-) a b.a.n.t.u. song? I recognize the vocals of my former band member ade :-) Very interesting video documentary showing the incredible tempo strenghts in everyday workouts in keniya.

it's 8km @4min/km pace. Obviously only a couple of the runners were able to handle that pace throughout the workout.... You do understand that these runners are all on gear right? Juice. PEDs. Steriods. whatever you wanna call it; hence durianrider's comment.

No, they then do a Float Recovery/ 'Roll-on Recovery' which means they don't take a passive rest.
