Round of applause for these cops! 👏 This is a very satisfying use of tax dollars video. When everyone is done with this guy they were kind and patient and not seeking charges even though he was intending assault. Anyone from Wisconsin knows like 1 in 5 nights out you see someone like this. Everyone abandons them because well...just look at them. Alot of people might want to see people like this arrested and charged to the maximal extent, but it's not the right thing to do here. It's not worth the jailing and booking and court time and money. This guy needs help and they saw through to it that he gets it! Probably going to be some years here until this man hits rock bottom and gives up drinking, but that's not really a community concern. Getting this guy off to a responsible party and making sure he detoxes safely is. Hope his wife realizes she needs a divorce. That would be the most helpful thing for this guy.
dude if i was wasted and the cop who let my arm go offered to sit down next to me? lmao hows a dunk mind gonna not know the dude is being awesome, it melts ur heart. this guy is hurting and drank too much and the cops tolerance and awesome attitudes broke my heart
I believe that one of the two drugs you can die from during withdrawal are benzos and alcohol; I’m confident in that. I wish the name of the video was a bit more empathetic, as we’re watching parts of the very real and very ugly aspects of addiction. #mytwocents Love & Light from Miami Shores🦚 Stay safe mate✌🏼🌎 Have a care for one another✨
Obviously this guy is gonna need long term treatment for his alcohol dependency. That’s gonna be tricky since he’s in charge of his own destiny. Most likely he won’t make it, and succumb to alcohol poisoning. His immediate family should be the ones getting him help, but it seems like they’re not interested. Tristen is on his own imo
I think this is the drunkest I’ve ever seen a person who wasn’t passed out. The fact that he’s conscious and not lying on the floor drooling is a miracle.
To me it seems like he might be on drugs too, maybe one that doesn’t mix well with alcohol. I could be wrong but it reminds me of when I would drink on my medication. 2-3 drinks can feel like 7-8, on top of just being completely incoherent and unable to understand most of the things said to me.
@@MikeB128 facts bro i live in central Wisconsin lol this is just alcohol people trust me, and i seen an epidsode of Live PD where the lady was sitting, having a coherent conversation with the cop after she had just blew a .344, absolutely crazy.. this kid has probably been drinking everyday since he was 14, i used to have a friend that would get this drunk.
My friend recorded me on Facebook live for 14 mins at the bar black out drunk. I was a complete mess. Beer spilled all over me, slurring my words, eyes in the back of my head. I saw it the next day and that was enough for me. I went from raging alcoholic for over 20 years to now being sober for 3.5 years from that day. This guy needs to do what I did and treat the humiliation like it's your best friend and that can change his life. I hope he sees it and it gives him that moment of clarity just the same as it did me.
The guy in video drinking problem since 15. They explain it. Congrats on quitting drinking. I used to get loaded every night for years. It has a way of making everything worse.
The officer offering to clean the bathroom has exhibited an exceptionally high level of character throughout this encounter. I really hope he goes home to a family that appreciates what a good man he is.
Yeah honestly him offering to clean the bathroom actually warmed my heart for some reason haha he's definitely looking out for the bartender in the best way
Not many officers in the world couldn't do a simple thing like clean up someone's vomit or even try to unblock the toilet by hand but the end of the day one willing to sit down and listen to you for once that a actual fact
It really should be standard practice for every case like this, even if it doesn't help them to change, I think it prevents them from lying to themselves about their situation. Similar to the couple people who are "code blue cam famous", you see them in more videos (so they're still committing crimes), but you can feel they're more ashamed.
Man, that officer that stuck with him most of the time and even offered to clean up afterwards is truly a shining example of an outstanding police officer.
@@weltschmerz333 No, this is not the exception. Officers violating citizens rights are the far minority, but you hear most about them, due to the news only showing bad examples.
It’s really horrifying how similar this looks to neurological disorders and mental disabilities. I don’t drink anymore because I was afraid of becoming this. For everyone that struggles with drinking, I wish you strength.
This just shows that cuffs, straps, and maybe a taser is all that is needed when anyone is disorderly regardless of drugs, alcohol, or plain mental illness. But for some reason psychiatric nurses discriminate people with psychosis and feel the need to sedate them with unconsenting chemicals even when already strapped up or locked away from others. Honestly if you are a psychiatric nurse, you are the wrong type of nurse. Actually, you don't have to be aggressive. If you claim to see or hear things those thug nurses will stick you right away.
@Steve76777 cant sedate unless given permission by family..sometimes is the best option to limit the potentiality of them doing something sudden out of fear.
Unlike the gunderson ambulance dude, he was fed up before he got there. Someone in that position needs to work on their patience, is everyone at gunderson on a superiority kick? #GoMayo
Three months sober here. This is a major eye opener. All the money I wasted. All the times I blacked out. All the damage I did to myself and my family. I hope this guy had a wake up call and is doing better in life.

The fact that his friends and wife took him to a bar knowing he's an alcoholic and is like this then have the audacity to leave him there because they fed into his addiction and didn't want to deal with him Is messed up.
That's one way to presume the course of events. I'm going with they went with him to try and make sure he is safe, as they know there is nobody on the planet who can stop him drinking. They then left when he reached the point where he can't be reasoned with, as per video.

Its funny to see all they have to do lol. Should have just lock him up and deal with him in the morning. 15 coppers, medicals staff trynna have conversation with a drunk man yall are dumb tbh.

An alcoholic screaming for his mom in the back of an ambulance, wasted to the point where his wife is too terrified to be around him at 21 years old is such a shame.

RIGHT! He even took the blame because he left the kid by himself. He had no problem making someone else’s night a little easier. We need more hero’s like this everywhere! Good job to the boys in blue here!
"He peed all over the bathroom, it was my fault, I'll take care of it. Just give me a mop." Kudos! That's a sense of responsibility and duty, and no sense of being above dealing with the mess that needs dealing with. We need many more people who think this way, and not just in blue uniforms either.

This guy drinks with his ass... I mean the fact that this video has only one extremely drunk guy in a street full of bars, and you people here act like getting drunk is some kind of monster you can't control... It's not really that uncommon. The brain may have a bad reaction to this kind of stimulus even with medium amounts of alcohol but to get knocked out you need to drink more than your body can handle.
Several things... What happened when he was 15 that turned him into this? Did y'all hear that soul-wrenching cry for his mom? That was a young kid crying out for her, not an adult. Who served him that much? Did he start drinking and then go to different places to drink more? If so, partial responsibility on the wife for allowing alcohol into the home. My neighbor growing up allowed his two boys to drink with him since they were 16 years old. Both had DUI's by the time they were 18. Nice job to their father.
@Mundungus According to the video description, alcohol or drugs had something to do with these tendencies: "recognizing him from previous encounters, where he displayed violent behavior while intoxicated (...)".
You definitely couldn't have trusted me with an alcoholic beverage 9 years ago. I narrowly missed hitting rock bottom. I chose my wife over alcohol, it is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. Best part is I know I will never return to alcohol. Randomly meeting people and having them tell me unbelievable stories about what I’d done. My last drink was in 2015. Lucky to be alive.

I drank like this daily for most of my 20’s. I quit at 28 after 2 small strokes, 3 stents in jail, 2 in detox, 2 in psych, 3 in halfway, and countless lost friends, family, and opportunities. Now I’m 30 and have more to be grateful for than I could’ve ever imagined a few years back. Hopefully this trip to the ER isn’t one of many. It may be the wake up call ol’ Jello Jimmy here needs.
Sometimes it takes falling & being a completely worthless pos to appreciate what life is really about. Some ppl just shouldn’t drink, it causes them to act/look like this. Those should stay far away from alcohol
I’ve been this way in my past. The next day is a horrible feeling. The guilt, the nausea, the shame, the embarrassment, the trouble, the finding your car, wondering if you made out with a stranger, the money missing from your purse, the hunt for your id, the stains all over your clothes, the bits and pieces of your memory and the overall anxiety is a nightmare. I don’t drink anymore and that’s a good thing.

Depending on your size, a blood alcohol level of around .35% to .40% registers as alcohol poisoning and is usually fatal. This guy appears dangerously close to crossing that line.
I was wondering if he was at the alcohol poisoning limit. He's a small guy, he blew really high after 3 hours, meaning he was more wasted when they first showed up. This guy is going to end up killing himself with this lifestyle if he doesn't get help.
@@melaniem4798 Totally agree. (I actually hadn't watched to the end till I saw your comment, thanks!) After 3 hours, he’s a .254 and he looks to be, what... 160-165 lbs, maybe 5’8”-5’9”. And you subtract .015 every hour you stop drinking, so unless these cops instruments are off, it seems like this guy should have been close to alcohol poisoning. Then again, he's been drinking since he was 15 so maybe it will take a lot more. It's not an edge you want to dance near.
Depends on tolerance. I have an old friend that is a highway patrolman. I remember him telling me about a woman he pulled over one time that seemed to be buzzed. She blew a 0.46. Said it's pretty common in severe alcoholism for people to develop tolerances that would kill normal folks.
I’m with you, there’s nothing more annoying than a belligerent drunk person who can’t responsibly drink or exercise self control. Unfortunately the rest of us have to deal with their behaviour.

@blackrom7918 I know. I'd like to hope that he learned his lesson and will get some help but I doubt that's the case. He was three times the limit THREE hours after he stopped drinking!!! Sorry to hear that. I'm 21mos sober now and the hardest thing I had to do was meet with a friends family after he'd OD'ed and died. I've lost friends in recovery but the heartbreak in the family is crushing. When I finally told my mom I needed to go alcohol detox and treatment I was 100lbs, debilitating nerve pain, couldn't walk and hadn't been sober in 3yrs. I never acted like that though. My family didn't know I was drinking until I told them. My mom had called my brother and dad to say they should fly down to say good bye to me after I hadn't eaten anything but more liquor for a few weeks. I remember when I was arrested for Drunken Disorderly Conduct. I was 20 years of age, 130 lbs, at 6 feet tall, and when breathalyzed I blew a .33. The officers told me I shouldn't have even been alive. The scariest part is, I was so deep into alcoholism and addiction that my body was used to it. Don't get me wrong, I was drunk. However, I was still polite, and coherent enough to speak and cooperate with officers. Took me a week and a half in the detox in jail to even be able to walk again on my own. Alcoholism is no joke. If you drink, please, PLEASE do so responsibly. If you don't think you can, then don't do it at all. You'll be dancing with the devil at that point.
There was a Guy from Poland with 1,23% (yes, he had 98,77% blood in his Alkohol System) who was conscious enough to Drive His Car and survive an accident. 😊
@@walterbishop2holy hell. That's entirely to much blood. His alcohol system could have easily frozen in such circumstances 🤔😂 but in all earnestness, alcoholism ain't a joke. It's hard on the body, and harder on the ones you love

How about feeling bad for the number of victims he could have racked up. He's DANGEROUS. EMS didn't sign up for people like him. He was in a cleared room at the bar. Get 4 officers and take him down, secure him. The wife needs to get the hell OUT QUICK.

Congratulations on your sobriety, after years of being a violent drunk I also got my sign and am on the sobriety train. It truly affects your loved ones in ways you never think about when the bottle is the most important thing in your life. It’s a daily battle to resist and I hope at the tender age of 21, this young man can see this video and the comments so as to realize what he really looks like and how it’s affecting his body and family. I also pray there aren’t children involved.😢
I hope someone makes him watch this. And i hope hes mature enough to see the dire situation he is in. His poor wife and mother. Props to the First Responders.
If he's a well-known chronic alcoholic at 21, why do these bars keep serving him. He shou l d be trespassed from all the local drinking establishments. And arrested as soon as he enters any of them and is recognized.
Alcohol is one of thee most reckless and dangerous drugs that we know of. Out of the others, alcohol ranks in the top tier for most emergency visits a year
So horrible to live with a raging alcoholic. My ex wife is like this. Got her into treatment a few times, it would last awhile but always the same result. So many gatherings with family/ friends ruined, vacations destroyed. After she threw boiling water on me I finally took the advice from a police officer and got a restraining order. I don’t like using the term “victim” but I guess I was. Over 6 ft, 200 lbs, Marine veteran, she is 5ft 4, maybe 110 lbs. Difficult to use that description of myself. Most difficult thing I ever had to do. Last I ever saw my wife, she was sent walking down the road, highly intoxicated, didn’t have the wherewithal to get dressed, in her pj’s. Sent some friends to get her stuff. It’s been two years. Still rents space in my brains at times. It haunts me but I’m happy now, just with my dog. Alcohol is a horrible drug. I hope this fella gets squared away before he loses his family. Looks like it could be close. I would think the hospital could sedate him but maybe with such high alcohol content it may dangerous. I feel bad for his wife and family and for him.
Any sedative mixed with alcohol (which is itself a sedative) risks respiratory failure. With such a extreme amount of alcohol that risk is only magnified. And regarding you being a victim, your larger size doesn’t make you any less of a victim. Verbal and mental abuse can be serious abuse. Physical abuse is just one part of it.
Whenever we get someone that's drinking, we do have a few things we can give them but most times we just let them sleep it off. I've seen enough of this type of behavior working in a hospital. Its not fun. These people need help but they also have to want it. I've seen people stay together for years and years just living with this horrible disease and its sad. Sounds like you made the right choice for yourself. I promise it gets easier.
I'm so sorry you had to experience that in someone meant to be a companion and support to you. You sound like a strong and clear headed man. Thank God for dogs!! ♥️
This made me cry. My Mom was an alcoholic. She was arrested on my 16th birthday in a bar. My Dad was a cop so he got the call and called to break the news. The Judge thankfully ordered her to rehab. She did the hard work and remained sober until she passed. This is just sad.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's hard to see your parent like that but even harder to see them work through it just to pass away from the years of neglect on their body.. I unfortunately know the pain you are most likely still going through. I hope you are doing alright and that the pain will be a little bit easier to handle as time goes on. God bless you and your family!
I know a guy that drinks from breakfast until he falls asleep and shakes his sleep but think nothing is wrong with him. I pretty much he won’t leave pass 40 and he’s 30🤦🏻♀️
That must have been tough to deal with. So glad she stayed sober after this event, but sad that she has passed. Hope you & the rest of your family are close.

I'm the first one to be very critical of the cops, although; these cops were amazing. I try to always give credit were it's due. These men were incredibly patient. This man is very sick. I hope he gets the help he needs and stays sober. If there is an update, it would be great to see him thanking these cops for their help.
This is exactly why i went sober. 1.5 years so far and going strong. When you become the laughing stock for people and the "bad example" its time to change
After going to the hospital for seizures and panic attacks due to heavy drinking, I got out and cut it out cold turkey. I am 3 days sober today. The shaking and rapid heartbeat is insane it’s extremely tough but getting better and better. It’s enough to make me not want to go back, because im making progress and don’t want to have to go through this again. Good luck to all.
I hope you get through this okay; I have gone inpatient for detox a handful of times but also detoxed myself at home in numerous occaisions. Always felt so much safer in a hospital setting being given saline and meds for the first week. Having to "ween myself" down was always so scary. After 35 years of not drinking alcohol, the thought of those times still scares me. My best wishes for you and all in recovery here.
I’m a paramedic in Glasgow 🏴 This is pretty much most of my Friday and Saturday nights 😂 We have lots of tricks for keeping the drunk and incapable and ourselves safe! I’m part of a double female crew and we are both mothers. After a fair bit of chat/negotiation/encouragement the truly belligerent drunks get the “mammy voice!” a five point stretcher harness and sometimes a frac strap (wide semi firm plastic bands with strong velcro closures. Different widths/lengths to help immobilise broken bones) around the knees/ankles if they are going to be trying to kick us or slither off the bottom of the trolley. The police are brilliant though and work really hard to keep us safe. We travelled once with a police officer straddling the patient holding his limbs down 😮 Bath Salts/PCP is a spectacular thing!
@marktheshark1974 because if we didn’t laugh we’d cry! Or lose our marbles completely. IT’s unfortunately just part of our job and so we try to do it with a decent attitude about it. Most first responders have an overall dark sense of humour. We find humour where many other people would struggle!
The officer that was so nice to him deserves a raise! When you can put up with such a self centered, drunken, extremely angry ego-manic and STILL offer to mop up a mess in the Men’s room, you are an incredible person and outstanding officer. Everyone that has to deal with the Tristens of the world should be given tons of respect, no matter how they sound or what they say, they have earned their respect.
@@BasedinReality1984the one officer stood his ground a little harder and the dude tried to fight him. I agree people like this shouldn’t be treated nicely but if it resolves things quicker I’m all for it
@@user-white007 but it didn’t resolve it quicker this time. The only time he stopped acting up was when he was sternly man handled. Which should have been the course of action the second he started to get remotely aggressive to the first officer imo.

It's interesting how he actually managed to become more combative as the liquor wore off. His mum definitely made the right call for not letting the cops take him back to her house.
it’s so nice seeing so many people talking about them becoming sober or their partners becoming sober. my grandpa has been with my grandma for 50 years now and almost lost her due to his alcoholism. she couldn’t take it after it gradually becoming worse. he moved out for a year to focus on getting sober and not making her see it then came back home and has been sober since. couldn’t be more proud of him.

Play cops go running

That’s what I am saying. This may be the drunkest juman of all time
You've obviously never been to Wisconsin, then...

They should show him this body cam footage as part of a rehab program.
It really should be standard practice for every case like this, even if it doesn't help them to change, I think it prevents them from lying to themselves about their situation.

This just shows that cuffs, straps, and maybe a taser is all that is needed when anyone is disorderly regardless of drugs, alcohol, or plain mental illness.

Too kind. Instead of wasting these resources, he should have been arrested 3min after contact for public intoxication. Period.
I know that a drunk will get alcohol however they can but to this degree?? How was he not dead?
What was it about the cop that made him listen? What was it about the other cop that made him angry?
It sounds like some pee dough got to him to me. Crying out for mom like that makes me go straight to that thought.
That's legit so sad that he's apparently had alcohol issues since the age of 15. That's so damn young to have an addiction like this.
Does the alcohol make him racist, too? His wife and his mom want nothing to do with him. Seems like he's just a bad person.

They call alcohol spirits for a reason
The patience in the officers and the paramedics was insane.
They showed up and began protecting and serving the people
They’re really professionals just one thing is the same for black or minority 🤨
@@florecitaroquera4311yeah there was another video of police officers helping one of my people an African American woman who was on medication and under the influence of alcohol they handled the situation well and got her some help
sure
As someone with countless humiliating stories involving excessive drinking, his video may have genuinely convinced me to never touch alcohol again.
You honestly don't need it bro... theres not much good it does for you.
If u don't remember it urself it doesn't count 😊
Here to remind you after three days to Stick to your Words :)
F*** the EtOH - evil drink. Jeez I'd genuinely rather be addicted to smack than the demon drink.
First the man takes a drink.
Then the drink takes a drink.
Then the drink takes the man. (Eastern Proverb)
@@CCitisYou got that right! I hate alcohol and I'm so glad I don't drink!! I personally think ALL alcohol should be banned country wide!! JMHO
0.254 three hours later? HOLY SHIT. How is he alive.
I honestly feel pretty bad for him. To be 21 and this much of an alcoholic is pretty scary. These officers did an awesome job with him. Hope he gets some proper help
I know many kids that got like this in highschool including myself and not just off alcohol.. it happens unfortunately
It's more likely he's not an alcoholic because he clearly can't handle his alcohol.
This was me at 21,
Especially when it seems that his wife doesn't know how to deal with him.
How about feeling bad for the number of victims he could have racked up. He's DANGEROUS. EMS didn't sign up for people like him. He was in a cleared room at the bar. Get 4 officers and take him down, secure him. The wife needs to get the hell OUT QUICK.
I’m a recovering alcoholic, 11 yrs sober. It’s sad watching this unfold and literally watching him hit rock bottom. I really hope this guy helps himself and quits drinking. Clearly alcohol is not doing him any favors. Thank goodness for these officers and their patience.
I'm so glad you got over it it's not worth it I can you tell you that but I'm glad you changed your life God bless brother have a nice day and stay safe
I’m so happy to hear that you’re 11 years sober!!! I’m sure it wasn’t easy for you!!!
Lol relax he is 21 had a good night... Just cus u cant controle ur self, he might notndo it in the future.. they are trying life.. relax, but yea a violent drunk ass is not good. I been drunk as fuck many times, never been in a fight cus im friendly. He needs help, not sover clinic 😅 dosnt help his family is twats and did shit for 6 years. Claps for then
Congratulations on your sobriety, after years of being a violent drunk I also got my sign and am on the sobriety train.
Congrats girl. It's a terrible evil. I have to ask you in your sobriety now, do you think patient cops help those who've yet to hit their rock bottom?
I hope someone makes him watch this. And i hope hes mature enough to see the dire situation he is in. His poor wife and mother. Props to the First Responders.
He's 21? Why would you marry this boy? Scary.
@@sidstovell2177 I was thinking the same thing.
If he's a well-known chronic alcoholic at 21, why do these bars keep serving him. He shou l d be trespassed from all the local drinking establishments. And arrested as soon as he enters any of them and is recognized.
He will probably think it's funny.
My ex husband was like this and still fighting
Sorry to hear about that. Continued well wishes to you and all your family 🙏
I know a guy that drinks from breakfast until he falls asleep and shakes his sleep but think nothing is wrong with him. I pretty much he won’t leave pass 40 and he’s 30🤦🏻♀️
Props to your Mom for getting and staying sober. It certainly aint easy. I'm sorry for your loss.
That must have been tough to deal with. So glad she stayed sober after this event, but sad that she has passed. Hope you & the rest of your family are close.
I am extremely impressed with the cops in this one. Took a lot of patience
Undeserved patience dudes own wife couldn't stand his violent drunkenness time to stop treating him like a baby and let him face the reality that is going to find him sooner or later
Awww, the tiny little fellow flexing was so cute 😊
My husband would get like this, he's now 5 years sober. I pray this kid gets the help he needs, very sad.
He is a very lucky man to have you by his side. You trully love that man to have walked beside him through that. I wish you both the best.
Congratulations to your husband for his 5 year sobriety!

These men were incredibly patient.

I'm proud of you, but you have to be very careful as alcohol is one of the only drugs whose sudden withdrawal can lead to death
@@ji24722 Came here to say this exact thing.
Congratulations but as someone who lost a friend because he quit cold turkey, please consult with a doctor on this. Many hugs your way!!!
Please stay strong. Don't go back to it.
Stay classy Glesga
Thank for your service
@marktheshark1974 because if we didn’t laugh we’d cry! Or lose our marbles completely. IT’s unfortunately just part of our job and so we try to do it with a decent attitude about it. Most first responders have an overall dark sense of humour. We find humour where many other people would struggle!
I'm from Ayrshire + been in A&E + was horrified by the state of other patients. God bless u 4 having 2 put up with this self inflicted behaviour x x
I've been this drunk, still remembered bits and pieces.
Not fun. Bless my friends who dealt with this BS.
He was too nice to him actually.
This dude needed to be treated in a stern manner from the start.
@@BasedinReality1984 I agree. He should have been kicked around a bit. In the old Rizzo days in Philadelphia, the cops would sure sober you up real quick.
