    Hi there, thanks for the video. 3:01 Condor is NOT part of the LH Group anymore.

    I will NEVER again fly Lufthansa on a long haul flight! For the money I paid for a round trip business class between San Diego and Rome, I certainly expected better and friendlier service. The business class configuration was 2-2-2. ! Next time I take ITA airlines none stop from LAX. They have a 1-2-1 business class layout, and the service is EXCELLENT, which one can’t say about Lufthansa ! Thanks for this informative video, I wasn’t aware that in business class there is a 2-3-2 configuration! WOW 😮

    • @liftoffandtravel
      @liftoffandtravel  8 днів тому

      So it seems to depend on the plane. Some are configured in a 2:2:2 and as I mentioned it was a very pleasant experience but could have been different if the cabin was full.
      In some ways it's a little like hotels, the one that has just recently refurbished tends to be the nicest. I'm hoping to try Lufthansa's new Allegris product this year so may be give it a few years and try them again.
      If you get the chance let us know. Very curious to see what ITA are like .
      Thanks for watching! 🙂

      @@liftoffandtravel The flight was full. What made it feel special was the lack of seats,it felt very much like being in 1st class or on private jet. Plus a more quite cabin. I have family history with the 747 so I can honestly say it was the best flight I have ever been on. I only hope I will get to fly again. Book a flight on a 747 and if you can book a upper deck seat. Ps the total seats are 32 with a layout 2-2 across

    Small correction: Condor is not part of the Lufthansa Group. It was formerly owned by Thomas Cook, which went bankrupt, and is not to be confused with the Lufthansa Group's leisure airline Discover, which also has a blue and yellow striped livery. Condor's livery is very distinctive and has been a source of much controversy, and excellent marketing for its new brand redesign starting 2022.

      Thank you, yes a few people have mentioned this. Clearly I was the last one to know 😂
      Totally agree, I have heard a few not many moan about the livery but I think it's brilliant especially as they decided to go with so many colours.

    Just for future reference, there is no “th” sound in German like English “thanks” or “the.” Lufthansa is pronounced “Looft-HANS-uh” in which the t and h stay separate and do not combine.

    We have flown on 747s many times, from long ago when there was a bar to the current renditions. Since my husband and I always travel together, the seating has never bothered me. What always concerns me is how well-maintained they were. Your flight looked like a fine one.

      Yes to be fair to the age of the product it didn't have any major wear and tear. They look very new. Unlike some airlines who have had their product a few years.
      I think because we live in a world where airlines are pushing for privacy it's viewed as dated but the seat is very comfortable and the cabin crew fantastic.

      @@liftoffandtravel It was much more relaxed all around, with no real security. People were more civilized and cared about appearance. The seats were more comfortable, and there was more room. Fewer people traveled upper class, and those who did were catered to. The whole vibe was just more relaxed. Although the flight attendants were spiffed up a bit more, they seemed happier to be there. Flying was more expensive in relative dollars, thus making it seem more special. The only thing I am very happy about is that you can not smoke. That almost killed me sitting in a cloud. The passengers are so different today; it makes a difference.

      I have to admit even Noel Philips shares my sentiment. I could wear a nice shirt and I have been tempted but they aren't that comfortable. Even jeans are restricting when trying to sleep.
      Yes security, I remember various movies where loved ones could see people of at the gate or stop them from flying because they wanted to declare their love. 💚
