I literally just learned about HAIM (having seen Alana Haim interviewed on the Kelly Clarkson show for her role in Licorice Pizza) and now am mad that it took this long to find them, they are so incredibly talented!
Ke$ha went to high school in Tennessee, and Este Haim attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, so how were they friends in high school?
To those who think that girl bands are a joke you need to listen to Haim. They're the best band that I've heard in many years. And I'm 62 so I know what's good and not good. This band is great!

Danielle is one of the most unique, innovative drummers out there. Haim is really all about the percussion, and her drum patterns are not 'normal' by any standard.
If you think she is good then you should see the drummer from the band called "The Warning". It is also a three sister rock band and the drummer Paulina Villarreal aka Pau or Pow because of how hard she hits her kit as she is an absolute beast on the drums. By far one of the most talented upcoming drummers I've ever seen. Check her out on UA-cam with videos of her at the age of 10 years old... really doing amazing things on her kit. Now she is 18 I think. You can see her and her sisters are on their third album-- just check them out on UA-cam. The band is called The Warning.
I literally just discovered this band yesterday. Never heard of them before, but I really like their sound. It's like an 80's throw back pop rock style.
An old, old school rocker here I saw a Live version they did of Peter Green's "Oh Well" and that was it I was a Fan I've followed them on and off since then. These ladies are good anybody says diff is probably a K Pop fan, I always thought the faces Este make while playing are a sign she's really into the music "Bass Face" very fitting
Fun music, never heard of HAIM. I dont follow popular music much anymore so its even more special discovering something new and exciting! Way to go ladies!
First time I heard of them. Glad I clicked on here. They're really good. Nice vocals, excellent drums, guitar, and bass playing. Oh Well is a great tribute too which captured the spirit of Peter Green. Thanks for the background info Mojo.
I get that they're women, but it's kind of odd that this is on Ms. Mojo, instead of just the normal Watch Mojo. Plenty of people, male and female, like Haim.
While they are likely worthy of the normal Watch Mojo, I gather that the focus of MsMojo is to feature female performers, regardless of their fanbase. What would be odd is is see BTS on MsMojo, though their fanbase is overwhelmingly female.
"Their dad was the brainchild of Haim" Umm, unless they brought their own dad into existence as a creative project, I think this should be the other way around.
I really like their covers of 60s stuff, bought a tear to my eye when I heard there version of fleetwood macs oh well.. They were playing live in the park I think.. Makes a change from girls that just stand there singing. These girls can play

Tina Weymouth was always the bassist of the Talking Heads and was a huuuuuuuuge part of their sound. Why did you guys minimize her? There were only four names in the band to keep track of!
Um, The Talking Head's have always had a female bassist. And you really should have named her, Tina Weymouth, who is very respected. Much more than Este Haim. Not that;s she bad, she just hasn't earned it yet. You guys really ought to research stuff more.
TalkinG HeadS who "at the time" had a female bassist... Didn´t they always have one? Unless they´re talking about them using someone else on tour at some time...
Haim is Hebrew. Urdu? Sometimes spelled Chaim where the C is asspirated and for Gentile speakers, it ccomes of as just Haim. Its a name. Many famous Jewish writers and personalitys have this name.
They said Haim means life, in Urdu, but it also means life in Hebrew -- which I would think is their source -- their dad is Israeli and they are all Jewish.
Correction @00:7:49 Haim means life in Hebrew. Special thanks to our viewer @ Monolithic for pointing it out.
their father is an Israeli, duh
MsMojo Yh noticed that dumb error
Dozens of people have pointed this out. Idiotic channel.
I was wondering what the heck she said. Glad someone pointed it out.
I love HAIM! This was so much fun! all 3 girls are so talented and their music is so unique.
Plus they've got great personalities! Just overall an amazing group.

These are real passionate Musicians with Soul!
Love their Music so much!
Well, actually Haim is Hebrew in this case and means "Life"....

It also later became a big rock radio hit for Detroit band The Rockets in the early 1980's.

That sentence at about 3:57 is massively disrespectful to the legend that is Tina Weymouth. 😟
Soooo good

I must admit that I was shocked when MsMojo uttered that nonsense. I can only presume it was down to ignorance.
Another fact is that their father, Moti, is Israeli
They probably hire a drummer, bc they do vocals, bass, guitar, etc. They need a drummer bc they can't do them all themselves
Uh... I dunno about Urdu, but hayyim means life in Hebrew too.

'their dad was the brainchild of Haim'- this sentence makes no sense. Haim did not invent their dad
