  • The Centro Escolar University (CEU) Folk Dance Troupe performs Mag-asik during its culminating activity on the 27th of October 2017, at the Librada Avelino Auditorium, CEU Manila.
Mag-asik, a Philippine folk dance is a Tiruray dance for girls, originating from Nuro, Upi, Maguindanao. According to the natives, the word "mag-asik" literally means to sow seeds. The dance begins with a large piece of cloth or mat placed on the ground or the middle of the floor. The girl dances around this cloth with small and heavy steps while her arms and hands are moving in graceful fashion.
