sir during polynomial division does this division does not follow math rule ? means sign like in first time division +X^4 is left as positive but according to conventional method of division it should -X^4 I am so confused plz help
"Wireless Communication Networks and Systems" by Cory Beard, page 125 r is the length of the FCS. This means there are 2^r possible error patterns, and only one of those patterns will go undetected. Four versions of P(X) have been widely used CRC-12 = X^12 + X^11 + X^3 + X^2 + X + 1 CRC-16 = X^16 + X^15 + X^2 + 1 CRC-CCITT = X^16 + X^12 + X^5 + 1 CRC-32 = X^32 + X^26 + X^23 + X^22 + X^16 + X^12 + X^11 + X^10 + X^8 + X^7 + X^5 + X^4 + X^2 + X + 1 the CRC-12 system is used for transmission of streams of 6-bit characters and generates a 12-bit FCS. Both CRC-16 and CRC-CCITT are popular for 8-bit characters, in the United States and Europe, respectively, and both result in a 16-bit FCS. This would seem adequate for most applications, although CRC-32 is specified as an option in some point-to-point synchronous transmission standards.

Thank you. your 7.34 duration video is thousands time better than my 1hour class lecture
100%
Exam was not good so I'm here learn this. Excellent explain
In 4:29 of the video x^6 + x^3 subtract x^6 +x^4+x^3 should result in -x^4 and not x^4 could you check please?
This is not a regular subtracting. We are not writing minuses in results of subtracts.
The creator of this video used modulo-N arithmetic or simply XOR those values.
Thanks man, you've saved me

How do you know the generator code appropriate of the message code?

THANKS SIR GOOD METHOD.....
thanks and keep watching
Thanks!
welcome adam
helpful!
Thanx
What if my message is 55x^3+49x^2+23x+12?🤔🤔
it cant be right? the coefficients have to be 0 or 1. They represent the values at the positions in the bit expression
Thanks.
Thanks and keep watching
i think division is wrong .....remainder after the 1st step will be - x^4 not x^4 and same so on....
No, It's correct. He didn't subtract rather did xor.

🙂
I could not understand your subtraction... How did you cancel two same sign quantities?
Its XOR not algebraic division
