Tunnels put the (insert suitable expletive) up me. You wouldn’t catch me walking or riding through one however long short light or dark it is. I’m even uneasy when on trains and London Underground is just a nightmare and I certainly wouldn’t use Eurostar. This was a creepy watch. You’re a brave man Scott. I’m good with spiders tho.
I drunkenly did the tunnel from West Gibson Street to the SECC. Most of it was lit by the screen of my mobile - I honestly think if my battery had died, I would have done so too not long after. Got to the SECC side and ended up wading through 2 ft of stinking water - never again!
You should try the Greenwich and Woolwich Foot Tunnels in London and the Kelmarsh and Oxendon Tunnels in Northamptonshire. The latter are unlit abandoned railway tunnels that are now part of the Brampton Valley Way.
The tunnel now has an upgraded lighting system utilising colourful LED and heritage white lights to highlight the Victorian engineering, which is a contrast to the oil lamps that originally lit the tunnel when it first opened. In 2016 a programmable lighting system was installed within the tunnel, which was inspired by the history, design and stories of the passage way, with the aim of upgrading the journey and experience of people passing through.
cycled through that tunnel many times on the bike......fantastic engineering!
I remember walking through here in '83 (with torch).......i don't recall any lights there at that time but i do recall the cold! Good vid! ty 👍

It probably felt like a good idea at the time! At least you can say you've done it, and have been to a part of Glasgow very few people have visited.
There's that one in Edinburgh under the edge of Arthur's Seat I can't remember it's name now but it was the old line to Leith.
Very interesting!

You should go visit the abandoned north and south tunnels at Glenfarg

Hi Ritchie, and thanks for the lighting update. It's still an amazing structure.
