This was BRILLIANTLY placed by Darren Emerson in the Psychotrance 2 mix on Moonshine records. Without a doubt one of the BEST trance sets ever put together for CD release back in the day. Look it up people!!!!
Yes, I remember buying the Psychotrance double CD mix album from HMV and liquid summer was one of the early tracks on it way back in '95... My my, those were the days! 😎 p.s. I love the progressive house element towards the end of this track - Winksy sure knew how to produce quality EDM in the 90s.
Awesome tune. Wink was always at his best when layering synth pads and stabs. This tune and "Verano Azul" are great examples of his lush production style - minimal yet thick and rich. Love it.
Oh my... Just stumbled upon this while down a rabbit hole following a link about killers and they talked about Michael alig, and there was a link to keoki reminded me of the old days. I used to listen to this tape and get lost around L.A. or San Bernardino looking for check points and making payphone calls to numbers found on fliers trying to find the party, meeting new friends that were other ravers looking for the same party. All while trying to keep control of our minds as the "L" or "e" did it's thing. Surely it was a special place in time, and those who were there know that we were all part of something that will never be replicated. The feeling of the 90's rave scene in California was one of innocent deviance where everything was good and no matter how crazy a situation was, it was ok and a safe place to be.
This is what a true masterpiece sounds like.Wink made a few more tracks like this over the years, check out his dub from FC Kahuna's - Machine Say Yes and his Steve bug - Loverboy remix
I know this comment is five years old and I'm usually not one to comment on YT anyways, but I always cringe when I read one-liners like this. What mindless nostlagia. Do you not realize, that whatever you considers troubling about todays world (and obviously the list is endless), at least the seeds of it had already existed back then? Sure the 90s were a golden age, especially in terms of electronic music, but boy were they myopic...and it ain't like the world was all flowers back then either.
It is a pleasure to know that Josh Wink is still a very good dj and composer. Indeed, many techno artists of this period (80-90) are not as productive as before, or have even completely disappeared from the electronic scene. Otherwise, I wanted to know where I could find this track in digital (because I have an extract in my Dave Angel X-Mix 4 cd, but not the whole track). I tried Beatport, JunoDownload, Amazon MP3, ... but I can't find it. Any idea?
LOL You're definitely entitled to your opinion, but for you to try selling something like that almost 20 years after this song was created, well, I'm not buying it. Josh Wink is a pioneer in the industry, and he helped define the "Acid House" genre in the 90s. Back then, this is what music sounded like. This is also what was being played in the clubs at that time. Not to mention he's a world-renowned DJ. End Rant.
Josh wink/Terry Mullin Emotions, 1995 almost like yesterday in my mind. Peak America, it was all downhill from there.
Thanks for posting. One of the best "deep tech" tracks of all time. Very rare !
Alll time favourite, man these were THE tracks

So damn good even by today’s standards!

The ending melody was copied on Maceo Plex & Jon Dasilva - Love Somebody Else feat. joi cardwell
