This is great for me as I live in a place where there is always construction happening so recording voice doesn't work because of background noise

I wanted to like it. I got the free trial but to me it just doesn’t bring what’s needed for what I need. I do radio commercials and thought I would potentially add this feature but the voices just seem almost to robotic in a sense. I’m sure it will get better.

As with most features like this I’ve seen them improve over time.

Great video and I would love to give this a shot, but...I work for a 2 year community college and Artlist has priced us out of doing business with them. We were paying $250 per year for their music which was doable. We used their service for several years, but in 2022 they raised that price to $15,000 a year. From 250 to 15K per year!! Insane price increase. We don't make a profit off of our videos or UA-cam channel. There is no way we could pay that amount. This feature looks cool, but I'll never get to use it.

@@codydickerson5276 that’s disappointing. I can’t help but think there’s got to be a way or someone to contact and be like hey we want to use your stuff but this pricing is pretty outrageous. What about it made the price increase?

@@zephanmoses There was several emails with them about the price increase, but in the end, it didn't matter to them. I can't imagine ANY college paying 15k for a music service. I think they priced us as a business, and they don't understand the financials of 2 year community colleges.

Do you have to pick from their voices or can you upload a voice clone file?

@@Retro_80s_Guy currently it’s from their voices. They have a good collection of both male and female, young and old, candid and powerful, etc.

I respect you a lot. I enjoy and value your videos. Well researched and tested showcases of gear and techniques that have frankly improved my process and workflow. But honestly, this really felt like just an ad.
The voice overs aren’t bad and I can see people using it if they don’t want to go through the effort. But with all AI, it feels hollow and unrefined, probably needing major tweaks to get exact pronunciations. Never the less, I am definitely looking forward to your next video as always!

@@MaverickMario hey Maverick, thanks for following the videos. As mentioned in the video, it is sponsored by Artlist so in a way it is an ad. That being said, I found the biggest struggle will definitely be the pacing of the voice and timing it out.
All things AI have only gotten better and improved over time. It looks like in the video world, getting limbs to appear properly and move around to display emotion is a struggle. Voice is seeing a similar limitation.
I don’t wish to see voiceover artists disappear. But it’s worth acknowledging there’s some places where AI voice makes life easier in a pinch.
