Hey Zephan, thanks for this personal update! Really appreciate it. OK, no problem, I get it, smaller studio, less flexibility. Whats most important to me is your insights, your processes and suggestions. You've already earned your credibility ! So thanks for the update and best wishes in the new year!
Hey man work with what you got. I'm sure I don't have to tell you that but life happens and gotta do what you can when you can. Your knowledge is invaluable in many ways.
... You have pointed out something that I did not even think of or see in your videos. I.e, I have never really looked at any of your videos and thought. Man! this could be better, should look like this or like that". Maybe I am just too focused on absorbing the the (great) content, that I do not see the "imperfections" if any are present. Foolish me 😂😅🤣😂. I actually like the no nonsense, no fluff content style you provide. You just know how to use what you have efficiently. I am working towards that goal. Thank you for sharing.
Ha well I think it's partially because some people love to just rip me a new one in the comments for no good reason. I've got a tough skin to a certain degree but man there sure are some people who will never be pleased.
ZM......We have all appreciated the content you have posts throughout the years.....Also if Bird Flu cases keep on growing, we all will be busy doing live stream services.
Thanks for all the great content, Zephan! I second just about what everyone else here so far has said. I’ve never questioned your environment. Your content and personality is what I enjoy. Thanks for being the true you. Life circumstances may always change, but we all do our best to adapt, overcome and conquer the new way forward. I hope to continue seeing any amount of content you’ll push. Here for whatever you’ve got. You and your content is among a handful that has helped inspire me in this field slowly but surely Happy Holidays and New Year!
Thank you, @zephan. We appreciate your honesty and hope things improve soon. I have yet to finish your 30-day challenge. Life prompts us to check ourselves; it's a sign of something great ahead. I've watched your channel for over 5 years, and your insights guide me. Take care!
So glad you've been along for the journey. I'm hoping to get back into making the good technical stuff very soon. I just need to get a bit more space before I can truly spread out and record what I'd like to make!
I really appreciate your videos!! And things change and that helps keep things interesting!! You are still sharing knowledge, and that's what I come for, even if it is in a smaller space or with a smaller budget. Heck that seems to be the trend on UA-cam these days anyway.
Thank you for your great content @Zephan ! Never stop dreaming I know for sure you will achieve your bigger dreams. I have learned a lot from you and now I can do what I love. Thank you again. One day I will have my own clients like you. God Bless you 🙏
Hey Zephan, it's been a long time since I saw your videos. I'm so happy for you and for the changes in your life. Thank you for making the videos you create for us. It's been too long, my friend. I'm really happy for you.
It’s part of the journey my man! I am starting UA-cam soon. Testing audio and frame the last few days. It is not easy but imo the value is king. Keep it up.
Hey Zephan, you've shared great quality content with us and you continue to do so. I've learned a lot from you so I'm here for whatever you want to share. You don't have to be in a studio. What you share with us from your experience is awesome. Have a great 2025.
Hey Zephan.. thanks for sharing your journey and so much about your process and current thinking. You've been so generous with us all over the years - thank YOU, and can't wait to see what you bring to life in 2025. I LOVED the idea of a production-business-retreat... and that's something I would help orchestrate - if you might want a collaborator. Drop a line if you want to connect and explore possibilities. Meanwhile - thanks again, and best wishes! - Jason
I watch every video you make, many multiple times. And, for what it’s worth, it has little to do with the final edit quality, although I do appreciate it. Definitely down for the future retreats and even some grainy behind the scenes footage if you share it 😂 keep up the great work 🔥
I try not to weigh in on every video someone sends out, but this one is important and I have to. I'll try to keep it short, but this is from the heart. Please. Don't change what you do. Please, don't worry about perfect videos. Don't worry about studios. Why? Because your videos, and your courses have SERIOUSLY helped me more than any content or channel, or group, that I have been a part of in the almost 8 years since I went out on my own. And why have they helped me? Because of exactly what you just did in this one. You are sincere, you are genuine, and you portray ALL the things that so many of us are going through. Personally and in business. So many folks make it all look like peaches and roses and everything is great and just do this and you'll be successful. And it doesn't always work that way. I've had good years, and tough years. But I have enrolled in several of your courses, and I watch your videos religiously, because I go through so many of the things you go through and it is absolutely amazing to know that the struggles I have, I'm not by myself. You have always answered every single question I've had, and I am hear to tell you that what you have done has kept me going so many times. Because I believe you are sincere and genuine. And that's ALL I'm looking for. I hope better times and better studios are ahead for all of us but trust me, PLEASE DON'T CHANGE who you are, or what you do!! Richard
@@EastTexasProductions first of all, wow, thank you! I always had set out with the intention of making this channel to help people first. Thank you for the kind words. If I could ask, where are things for you currently? What would you want to see more of?
@@zephanmoses I think for me, the issues I'm facing that have been the hardest for me is developing a larger, reliable client base. Getting the word out in places like LinkedIn and other places. I have struggled to be able to market my company and build collaborations with other videographers. My dream situation would be to provide the "hardware" and technical operation of medium sized live stream or live recording events. Working with agencies that set these up for corporations etc. We have the equipment, we have the expertise, I just do not know how to market my company on a wider platform. For some that is simple, for me, it's not where my strength lies. I'm updating my website now (the new one isn't published yet) with updated material and hopefully a new cleaner look.
The videos will never be perfect. You just need to give your best and maybe improve something every time. And as for moving and lack of space: oh boy .. We moved in February. Most of our stuff is still in boxes. Why ? Because we moved from a 4000 sq.ft. converted church, that we lived in and that also served as my video space, to a small 3 bedroom farm house. Just the way life goes.
@@EmeraldAudiovisual wow that’s an interesting shift. 4000sq ft is awesome. But I’ve been there. I went from married and owning a 4br house and having a commercial office space down to a one bedroom apartment, back up to a 3 bedroom that I built a fourth bedroom onto, turned that into a rental property. It’s a lot of shifting.
@@zephanmoses The shifting is the problem. We moved to the church just as the pandemic hit. It was the perfect space for the lockdowns. We had it 4 years. I also have a commercial unit, but we didn't use that for anything else than storage during that period. It's where all our stuff now is stored and hence, I don't even have the space there. Well, I'm getting there. I've also moved across 7 countries in my life, 2 continents. So you moving from where you grew up to Virginia, that'll upset things. You have your work ... that's important ... you'll find your space for the videos, eventually. The AirBNB idea is probably not the worst plan.
tbh you went all in on a extremely niche topic, there's not much about your marketing (headlines, thumbnails) that would attract anyone who already isn't into video production, and those types of viewers typically already know what type of hardware they are going to use idk it was a uphill struggle from the start
@@Flutterwhat oh I don’t see it as an uphill struggle at all for this niche. That’s not what this video is about at all. There’s plenty of content in this niche. If anything I’m glad I’m not in gaming or personal finance because that niche is wayyy saturated. This video is more about me personally and where my life has gone and just opening up to the audience that I have plenty more to give. It’s just not going to be what it has been the last couple of years due to my own personal growth.

Appreciate your honesty @zephan, but your videos are massively valuable regardless of your recording environment, thanks for all you do 😁😁
Thank you so much for the support.
