    I think they took last week to look into it. Apparently there are numerous witnesses. Doesn't sound good for him.

    If a contract is worth millions I bet they add “ If there’s any allegations against you that are jail worthy or felony sorry you’re getting cut.” Has to be

    I don't like firing someone for an accusation. That's guilty before proven innocent.

    Damn thats crazy. But they can't take the risk keeping him.

    So another player released due to an allegation that hasn't yet been proven true? Did we not learn anything from Matt Araiza? Trevor Bauer? All the athletes who've been wrongly accused in the past? I'm never a fan of punishing somebody due to an accusation, let the facts come out first and if he's guilty than sure kick him out. Teams need to learn from the OKC Thunder who didn't punish Josh Giddey once he was accused, they continued to let him play and was later charged with nothing.

      This case is different in the sense it wasn't in private, there were people all around. The new ownership group has done due diligence on every decision they've made so far, and I trust they investigated this before coming to a verdict.

      @rc2788 Місяць тому

      @@Qdawg2121 I understand not wanting the negative spotlight on your team, but I also don't like having a man's life be ruined based on an accusation that may not even be true. It's innocent until proven guilty isn't it? As of right now he's innocent...

      @rc2788 Місяць тому

      @@stewpitteejit The Bills said they investigated the Matt Araiza situation before they released him. We all know how that turned out?

      @stewpitteejit Місяць тому

      @@rc2788 I can't do much but trust the team's decision. I believe they still have to honor his contract, so they didn't come to it lightly. I'm sure they didn't want to be trying out retread kickers in June either.

    No police report or arrest. Straight to extortion then lawsuit. Lost of job and character. All it takes is a finger pointed ask Michael Irvin. Are you next? Let it go to court.

      In any other situation yes but not in WAS, it's a flight risk. Working somewhere is at-will and McManus isn't exactly respectable enough to doubt it much. Everybody from DEN said he's weird.

    Reading through some of the comments here suggests that some people just don’t understand the situation. The first point is, a person’s behavior doesn’t have to rise to the level of a criminal act to be considered highly inappropriate, and offensive. Reading the reports of two women, as well as other corroborating witnesses, indicates he did indeed behave in a manner reflecting poorly on him, and by extension, on the organization that doesn’t need any further issues relating to sexual misconduct, or anything remotely close to mistreating females. The front office has repeatedly stated its commitment to bring in players who are not only high quality players on the field, but also whose off-field conduct is exemplary. I don’t think a guy behaving less than gentlemanly, who thinks he can bump and grind on flight attendants, and making them feel uncomfortable, uneasy or mistreated is the type of behavior this organization is going to tolerate. Hey, he could have just been a real ass, without all of the grinding stuff, and just spoke to these women in an offensive way, which isn’t a crime,, but would still be unbecoming, and behavior considered detrimental to the best interests of the Washington Commanders organization.
    I don’t believe his actions meet the definition of criminal conduct, because sexual assault is a very serious allegation, but being a real jerk probably describes the behavior more accurately. So, the organization decided they don’t want immature players acting like total jerks representing the team. Bye-bye. I think it was the proper decision. In fact, I don’t think they had much of a choice.

    I can understand why they would just cut him loose with just an accusation I don’t really agree with it but I get it……….
    And what makes me question the allegations though is why isn’t he being arrested for criminal charges he’s just being sued for money 🤔🤔🤔
    Like these women were so hurt and offended that they reported him but they don’t want him to go to jail they just want his money…….. just saying

    Every plane does not have alcohol, it's against league policy to have it on a team flight.
