Im gonna be honest i played kh 1 fm on the ps4 collection and i liked it. Most of the time. A lot of fights in the end where basicly pure frustration, especially all of the "End of the World" bosses. It was my first time ever playing a kingdom hearts game so i went with normal, but that final boss fight made me almost smash my controller. A game shouldnt be that hard on normal, that every action an enemy takes makes you want to destroy the games disk.
Same with me, the "first" KH game i played the first time back on PS2 but gave up because i couldn't beat the final boss, 10 years later and i almost givin up, don't care what peiple say, this boss is annoying and unfair
My friend who loves Kingdom Hearts said the first game was kinda easy and I should start on hard mode. This final boss is kicking my ass, and I know I will never beat Sephiroth I want to kill my friend!
@@spiderboy43 haha I trained Sora to lvl 70, learned leaf bracer and I was able to kick Ansem's ass You can do it! But it took me a long time to level up. Once you finish Hades Cup, you will probably be ready.
This is by far one of my favorite boss fights in the whole series because Ansem is seriously OP on the hardest difficulty lol and I’m currently being blown away by KH3
Kind of surprised the player didn't realize that getting hit by SUBMIT! is a bad idea after the first time. It's not that hard of an attack to avoid, and it saves you a lot of headache if you avoid it.
Thanks for the video. Your skills are on point! I started the game on Hard (casual KH player) and breathed through majority of the game, now the End of the World has an unfair spike in difficulty and Ansem is just a grind-fest of a boss I can't beat. His attacks are unfair in the second fight, his guardian disappears killing you without any visual ques! I simply don't care to lvl up another 10 times just to finish him off. Moving on to Chains of Memories.
@@dane4073 word of advice: for Sora, (I'm a more attack based fighter in the game so if the items list is lacking this is why) 3 megalixers, 3 hi-potions, and 4 mega-ethers. That does take some time to get but it isn't as hard on proud mode. Second: put all of them on level 80, mabye higher. For Donald and Goofy, I wouldn't worry about them or they're weapon and items, I just gave them they're default weapons, high quality armor, and filled they're list with for Donald, ethers, for Goofy, hi-potions. Follow this list and you can beat the game in about an hour or so. This took me forever to perfect cause I was 5 when I first played.
The Gamer Dragon Get Mp haste and mp rage, babe. Also leaf bracer and second chance, and have decent defense. No one's got time to purse dive for potions while you're cruisin on SS.Ansem's Fat Ass. Also a good idea to fill donald and goofy's inventories with many mega potions and mega ethers set their AI to use it constantly. Its the final battle and no progress is saved afterwards, so go nuts.
@@MistressChara theorised does not mean it makes sense. Nomura just add things up. I bet he'll make up some answers when people ask him who is the Guardian that Riku used.
Now THIS is a final boss. The ultimate test of the skills and abilities you've learned throughout your journey. Despite it's difficulty, this was the final boss fight I had the most fun with next to Xemnas from KH2.
Yh I just beat the game today at 20. As I was playing, I thought how insane the devs must have been to think kids could beat this. The fact that you did at 11 is impressive asf.
I would like to just let everyone know the fact that at the very end, around 45:50. After Pluto scampers off, watch the background of Sora's closeup. He stops animating and slides up the hill.
And this is just the first game and only this one form of his true self. No wonder Xehanort is so good at making contingency plans for his contingency plans.
I loved Xemnas's voice I could listen to it for hours. But something about Ansem's voice was just so sinister, and intimidating!!! Kingdom Hearts knows the perfect voice actors for bad guys!
Really interesting how I was under leveled but still found him easy compared to other people in the comments. If anything Ursula and Dragon Maleficent was a pain in the ass to me.
People said dragon maleficent was the hardest boss in the game, it was one of the only ones I beat first try and now I’m at the end of the world and I hate all the fights
It’s not the Ursula was hard it’s just the movement mechanics underwater are so inefficient you can’t position yourselves to dodge her attacks properly. It’s just mechanical mess. Meanwhile dragon maleficient boss just amounts to it being Cerberus with nowhere to run. For the stages of the game beating them is a challenge but by the time anyone gets to ansem he really shouldn’t pose any real challenge aside from how drawn out the fight is
29:41 this part is so captivating , intense , emotional . The music alone draws me to scenarios that take me back to a moment in time where I felt hopeless and sucked into a dark mental abyss . As a child I never assumed that theses fictional themes and characters could ever foreshadow the reality we encounter once we grow up . The inevitable escape from innocence and happiness that slip from our hands as we grow cynical and corrupted . Light & darkness , purity and wickedness - greed , selfishness vs selflessness & ego death . I'll never forget this game because for me it instantly transports me to my younger self. Somehow I feel in touch with that little girl ( me ) when I replay this game , I get to relive that era all over again. I get to retain a bit of the childhood I never really had . I wish I could somehow time travel and tell my younger self to sabor that time a little more .
And to think that thing behind Ansem is terras heartless, bound to him, then brutally twisted and mangled into this world of chaos seen before us. He has to be going through a lot of pain.
Omg yesssss! The fact that terra is literally right infront of our face, and we knew NOTHING!! If Sora knew that that heartless had Terra’s heart, I’m pretty sure Sora would have rescued terra from the get go and we would have had him back with us.
Just think-this was back before we truly knew what was going on. We didn't know who Xehanort was, we didn't know about Organization XIII, we didn't know who Ven, Terra, and Aqua were…we didn't know any of that. We truly had no idea what was really happening. The climax of this game really hits different after all these years…
i remember playing all of this like 5 times in a row one day just so my cousin can hear simple and clean lmaoooo and back then you couldn’t skip the cutscenes
Idk what difficulty I set my first playthrough on but bare with me: When I reached the End of the World and final bosses, the Fantasia boss and Ansem, I was roughly around the mid 60's level. All the magic I've casted during those fights were Cure and Aero and they shockingly felt like a breeze to get through.
I finished the game back when it came out and loved every second of it... ...until the secret video showed up at the end with Roxas (at the time I didn't know who it was) DUAL-WIELDING OATHKEEPER AND OBLIVION!!! And then then it shows kairi back on destiny island with a meteor heading toward the ocean. I lost my s--- as a 12 year old who found his new joy in video games. Love this series.
A lot of games could learn from kingdom hearts. They do such a good job at making the last world and final bosses feel impactful and challenging. Its kind of silly in some games the end is too easy. The challenge progression is done nicely
One who knows nothing can understand nothing ..... You see, darkness is the hearts trueeee essence ✊ hearing him say that will always give me goosebumps. I love the voice acting
love how disney only let square use one appearance of mickey and they showed him seemingly sacrificing himself to save the world while pulling out his own keyblade lmaooo
The final battle, the Mother of all bosses, Ansem. Once you open the door there's no turning back, nobody leaves until The game is finished. Btw what happens after the Ansem is beaten and the game ends, do you go back to the beginning and start all over or everything remains the same, does End of the World complete itself and no more boss battles?
Yepitzme okay you fight all the bosses in the hades cup? But what about like when the game is finishes is everything in the end of the world is left as it is, what about Destiny Island, or he place you were in before , what about Ansem's guardian and giant monster ship thing?
When I first play this on psp 2, I thought I beat the whole game until I realize that it wasn't over since you have beat ansem 4 or 5 times after beating the Heartless first
Years ago I was stuck on the boss at 8:20 & thought it was the final boss fight... never was able to finish it haha really had me feeling incomplete. But I just finished the game finally, & on proud mode too! I was in disbelief at the real final boss, had to try a few times. But no way was I gunna give up & take the easy way out!! Very rewarding, love this game
This Fight..This Fight is such a pain it took me days to beat him. But what pisses me off the most is after you beat this game it doesn't save after you beat it. Your last save is before you entered the final stage. So, all that effort you put on beating him goes for shit. But you still know you beat him even though know one believes you.
I can't believe I put myself through this almost 30 times to finish the game for the first time, then replaying it years later after getting the PS4 compilation
This guy is giving me a ton of trouble on the ps4. I haven't played KH in about 12 years and I don't remember Ansem ever giving me this much trouble. I don't know if it's harder on the ps4 version or if I've just lost it haha. I'm not doing much different from you... Guess I just new to level up more
pmoore8230 I agree with you i had to play kingdom Hearts about 12 years and i had played it all lot and when i played KH in ps4 i wasn't remembering anything like I didn't play it at all.the same happened with KH2 which with my best friend we were playing it day untill late in the night
From what I've heard, the original PS2 version was considerably easier on anything besides Proud Mode and, if I'm honest, the game is still pretty easy most of the way through. It's defiantly nowhere on the level of say, Bloodborne where the game is just hard straight to the end. For, I'd say, 90% of the game it was pretty easy. It was only until arriving on The End of the World where the difficulty was suddenly spiked up to ludicrous levels. For one, Disney's Chernabog, while fun and was a neat surprise for me, it was not fun to fight against mainly due to his potentially insta-lock/insta-kill volcano eruption move that has a very, very short build-up telegraph to it. Doesn't help that Goofy/Donald will get killed by this move every...single...time even while you might still be alive. Get past him and you'll have to fight the Behemoth again... for the third time (fourth if you did the Hades Cup) and then immediately survive an seemingly never-ending wave of flying enemies that can seemingly always block/counter your moves all while not dying as to not wanting to restart the entire fight over again with the Behemoth. And THEN you get the privilege of saving your game... only to be immediately thrown into a boss rush of about eight-nine phases in total with no save points and no real way of updating your maybe deprived inventory after the first phase. In all honesty, I still really like this game, it was pretty enjoyable from start to end but damn did this final level really slugged to the finish line for me. In a game like Bloodborne, I expect it to beat me till I'm on the ground begging for mercy only to continue kicking me while I'm on said ground all while telling me to "keep trying!" If KH's was difficult from beginning to end, this final fight wouldn't have been so aggravating since the skill ceiling was there from the start... but since the game was pretty easy till I got to this point, I just took that as the developers realizing the game was too easy to just button mash through and tried to remedy the situation by throwing so much visual stimuli at the player until it just becomes a blur and he/she just keeps dying from it. Even still, I really did enjoy playing KH's for the first time. While the ending really slugged at the end, I still found the gameplay and story to be fun... even if I wanted to throw my remote at the screen after hearing the words "darkness, light, and heart" repeated for a 200th time. I'm looking forward to starting KH's Chain of Memories next. It's been a very, very long time since I played it on the GBA and I'm hoping the game has improved if only by a bit since moving from a 2.5D plaine to a 3D dimension.
Yeah the ps2 version proud mode is harder then the final mix on the ps4 they nerfed bosses in the ps4 version and even gave the rumbling rose an extra 2 strength or 3 making it the best keyblade other than ultima it used to be oblivion at 11 strength instead of the rose at 13 and yeah most bosses caught a nerf
Kevvo Lightswift Same here! I’m on the second Ansem fight (in the crater) and I just can’t do it! So I’m watching this and moving on to Chain of Memories lol

Finally beat this boss, it took me about 5 hours. This was definitely a difficult one. I was honestly very close to quitting, but man is it satisfying to see the credits after such a cruel fight.
This music still hits after all these years later
This final boss is kicking my ass, and I know I will never beat Sephiroth
I want to kill my friend!
@@BillGunslinger Do it! Fill his heart with darkness!
I'm with you there. Holy hell the third stage of Ansem is just... GAAAAAAH! It's why I'm here watching the ending.
@@spiderboy43 haha I trained Sora to lvl 70, learned leaf bracer and I was able to kick Ansem's ass
You can do it!
Also after dodging it leaves Ansem wide open for a good combo.
ikr it's really easy dodging the Submit move Ansem does.
His second phase is cair just gotta be patient
Level 70, Aeroga, and Ultima weapon.
Every time the question mark shows up, Dodge roll.
@@Enixgeek thanks I'm going to beat the haydes cup just t gain some more levels a bit then fight ansum
I think the final boss si a bit of over kill, I mean how many do you fight in a row? with no shop for potions, etc? 7?

Uh currently farming, but I did make it as far as the fight before world of chaos
The Gamer Dragon i know right!!
there all pretty easy though.
There is a sort of magic that Kingdom Hearts has. That goes beyond nostalgia.

ZachMaster97 you have done the impossible
ZachMaster97 it only took me three months and five days to beat kh2
Brayden Sibley It took me 20 hours to get to Ansem.
Me, it took me 4 years to beat this game and at the time of making the post, I already beat the game, the boss took me about half of an hour to beat
It took me 16 hours straight to defeat the World of Chaos (Ansem Final Form).
Now THIS is a final boss. The ultimate test of the skills and abilities you've learned throughout your journey. Despite it's difficulty, this was the final boss fight I had the most fun with next to Xemnas from KH2.
To this day I have no idea how I beat this game when I was 11. I must've been cracked out
Yh I just beat the game today at 20.

The power of *darkness*
I know it's overused as shit but if Master Xehanort was a goat and Xemnas had a coat, Ansem became a boat
I had the exact same issue.
Chernabog is the hardest actually
It’s not the Ursula was hard it’s just the movement mechanics underwater are so inefficient you can’t position yourselves to dodge her attacks properly.
It’s just mechanical mess.
Meanwhile dragon maleficient boss just amounts to it being Cerberus with nowhere to run.
For the stages of the game beating them is a challenge but by the time anyone gets to ansem he really shouldn’t pose any real challenge aside from how drawn out the fight is
Ohhhh so that’s what Barry meant when he said he turns into a boat. Okay then. This is fine.
More like a boat straight out of hell.
1:32 *Puberty hit hard*
9:26 This is the most "my friends are my power" series of events. The music is just icing on the cake.
Thanks for explaining why I thought about this
Every time I see this, I feel Terra's pain.
Billy Zane that that fucking quote helps makes this the best final boss in Kingdom Hearts.
Who else loved his voice and fighting him?
Voice:good
Fighting him:NO
33:24 the memories of Sora and Riku with Always on my Mind playing in the background always gets me..
Best final boss, in my opinion. Although birth by sleep was pretty climactic, nothing can beat finishing your first kingdom hearts game.
12:40 Something about the way the ambience changes… really makes you feel like you fell into true darkness.
Why didn't we get this kind of dialogue in kh3?! This is so genuine, it made you feel so little as a combative character
Well, by kh3, he's just a puppet for Xehanort to use and get discarted afterwards.
its because square enix forget how to write dialogue after kh2. It's not just kingdom hearts the new final fantasy games have the same problem
I bet the 'this isn't even my final form' meme was created because of this guy.
It was cuz of frieza from dbz but this guy takes it to the next lvl

Just think-this was back before we truly knew what was going on. We didn't know who Xehanort was, we didn't know about Organization XIII, we didn't know who Ven, Terra, and Aqua were…we didn't know any of that. We truly had no idea what was really happening. The climax of this game really hits different after all these years…
And don’t forget that we defeated xehanort’s heartless we all thought was Ansem.

When I reached the End of the World and final bosses, the Fantasia boss and Ansem, I was roughly around the mid 60's level. All the magic I've casted during those fights were Cure and Aero and they shockingly felt like a breeze to get through.

The Ansem death scene is the best death of any video game antagonist. Cracks me up every time. LIGHT!
A lot of games could learn from kingdom hearts. They do such a good job at making the last world and final bosses feel impactful and challenging. Its kind of silly in some games the end is too easy. The challenge progression is done nicely

Which is ruined by a disapointingly easy final boss (unless proud mode) where you can attack his ripped abs and parry most attacks while doing so...
sooooo, back to the beginning then?
You can go to olympus and fight hades tournament bosses
Yepitzme okay you fight all the bosses in the hades cup?
But what about like when the game is finishes is everything in the end of the world is left as it is, what about Destiny Island, or he place you were in before , what about Ansem's guardian and giant monster ship thing?
You can't go there no more
When I first play this on psp 2, I thought I beat the whole game until I realize that it wasn't over since you have beat ansem 4 or 5 times after beating the Heartless first
This game just never ends holy shit
You shurley become an achivement for that
46:08 Havin' a bit of trouble there, Pluto?

This guy is giving me a ton of trouble on the ps4. I haven't played KH in about 12 years and I don't remember Ansem ever giving me this much trouble. I don't know if it's harder on the ps4 version or if I've just lost it haha. I'm not doing much different from you... Guess I just new to level up more
pmoore8230 I agree with you i had to play kingdom Hearts about 12 years and i had played it all lot and when i played KH in ps4 i wasn't remembering anything like I didn't play it at all.the same happened with KH2 which with my best friend we were playing it day untill late in the night
Gwgw Baziou Late but bwtter ai I guess just beat it on proud again and fuck yea its harder on ps4
I killed him on my first try, not sure if i'm good or just got lucky, but i sure as hell ain't doing it again lol.
How the hell did I beat Ansem on normal when I was 8?? I clearly remember finishing this game but what?
