I love your voice so soothing. Plus toyin toyin sound ohhh God. I watch you videos while I’m on the threadmeal and I do nearly an hour every single time because of how calm your energy is. At this point I’m a very experienced seamstress without a sewing machine. I would be one soon though. Keep up the good work. ❤

Woooooow it's more than gorgeous as a beginner you encouraged me but if you can sew anither one with other color and other method for beginners especially for tocklines which remain unclear for beginners it would be peeeerfect ...thank yiu best teacher ...you have a niiice taste
Hello, thank your your kind message and for watching! Yes, I will sew another one and share a much simpler method of sewing the tuck lines very soon. Best wishes. ❤

Hello Comfort, thank you for your kind comment! I sincerely appreciate it. I used 2 and a quarter yards length of crepe fabric, which is 81 inches in length (and 60 inches in width). Best wishes! ❤ ❤ ❤
Woow mind blowing thank u darlin it’s beautiful an well detailed but the tuck lines got me confused have watched it over and over again but still couldn’t figure it out coz am a beginner, if u can explain a very simpler way will appropriate thanks cheers 🥂
Hello, thank you so much for watching, I really appreciate your feedback. ❤️ Very soon, I will share another video with a simpler method that is easier for beginners.
hi! if i needed more room in the bust would you recommend making the initial fabric width wider? if any other suggestions that would be great. loved this video!
Hello Yasmin, thank you for watching. Yes, if you need more fullness, then make the fabric width a little more than the initial "elbow to elbow" span. Best wishes! ❤
Great tutorial! So impressed with your teaching and technique. You obviously have a lot of skills! Looking forward to seeing what you produce next. PS, the sound effects were a little annoying and took away from the professional style of the video. Just something to consider.
Hello, thank you so much for watching, and for your feedback. 😁🙏 Human beings are sensory in nature, and I realise that most people have short attention spans, which is why the sound effects are used to draw (and retain) the viewer's attention to key points in the video. Plus, I think the pops of sound add a somewhat fun factor to what might easily become a boring lesson, without added stimulation. Lol
Hello, thank you so much for watching. 😀 I think underlining (or lining) would just add excess bulk, and make the tucks bulge in the waist area. So, I simply leave it as it is.
Hello,Thank you for watching. ❤ Well, because the front and back fabric pieces were cut with the same width, the long front middle tuck is what helps the dress front piece retain the same width as the dress back piece after the zip has been sewn. Having a zipper at the side could be an alternative to dismissing this middle tuck (both in front and at the back), but wearing the dress would become a painful ordeal due to the cinched waist.
Hi, I really would not recommend the use of sheer fabrics that need lining like Chiffon, because the tucks may create extra bulk on 2 layers. But here's what you could do, first join the front and back pieces, then line the dress as usual, and then after that, sew the tucks at the very end, pinching the fabric and lining together. Thank you for watching. ❤
this was so beautifully made! i wanted to ask, what if I wanted to make the sleeve longer? would I just made the top part slightly wider? and then have it come in at the waist?
Hello Ariana, thank you for your kind comment. Yes, to achieve longer sleeves, make the fabric width wider, which would also give you more fullness in the lower section of the dress. Yes, the tucks would be used to "have it come in at the waist" by suppressing the excess width. Do let me know if you have additional questions. Best wishes! ❤
Hello Amanda, yes a V-Neckline will work, I recommend cutting it in front, and not too deep (cos it may gape due to the excess fabric) but keep the back neckline round and high. Thank you for watching 🤗🤗
Hi, lovely video, please can i ask, is it possible to sew this in a long sleeved version at all? If you start off with a wider rectangle? Would it still work
Hello, thank you for watching. 💓💓💓 It's worth trying, but my main concern is that the tucks would then become excessively large and would bulge visibly, even from the outside.
@@NedouxSews ah yes that is true! Although, I think someone else also asked, would you be able to cut off the excess fabric after tucks have been sewn? Thanks for your reply x
Could you please talk slower? I turned on the subtitles and you were faster than they could populate on the screen. Great explanation of the process though. Cheers!

Very nice tutorial. I just wonder how to hide a tucks /darts in wrong side. Should we use underlining?

Quick question can we do without the middle tuck?
Hello,Thank you for watching. ❤
Well, because the front and back fabric pieces were cut with the same width, the long front middle tuck is what helps the dress front piece retain the same width as the dress back piece after the zip has been sewn.
Having a zipper at the side could be an alternative to dismissing this middle tuck (both in front and at the back), but wearing the dress would become a painful ordeal due to the cinched waist.

Все хорошо, кроме того что - кроить длину по поперечной это неправильно. При носке и после стирки изделие может перекосить.
