Was a bus nerd 35 years ago. 90's. Seeing whats happing in Manchester, you've been very informative. Like the Omni deckers from London Central. And the 60/61 plate Go ahead stuff we see now. Lost interest in buses because it all went corporate. But its ramping up and I'm interested again. Don't even ride buses. But they come from all over the country and the energy is back! Suppose Yellow is the new Orange ;)
I enjoy watching your bus videos . The winners for Tranche 3 was announced yesterday 4 large to Metroline . 1 large to Stagecoach . 2 small for Diamond and 1 small for Go North West for Stockport, Tameside , Ashton and the reaming parts of Salford and Manchester as well as Trafford.
The teething issues aren’t just happening on the 184 as my 350 to Oldham from Ashton Bus Station was cancelled and it was a 30 minute wait for the next one.
Lots of confusion in Marsden as the 184 bus has sometimes gone Hard End and sometimes straight down the A62. Interestingly when the drivers were learning the route the stage coach bus full of drivers went via Hard End
The 184 since becoming Stagecoach has just become a horror show. I tried to do it on Tuesday to Marsden but that bus was 33 mins late. People asked the staff where it was but the staff said they cant track it because it isnt metro anymore. People were furious.
since you filmed this the service has settled down i belive in 2027 West Yorkshire buses will come under public control just like here could they do whats happened here with the Marsden services ie revert them back a few years 184 now is on old First Manchester times
It appears now, looking on bus times, that they are now all going via hard end again. Must have been route learning issues for the first few days, or maybe because of the late running of the majority of services? Who knows 😂
I don't think it was a good idea for the 184 to be part of the bee network because it could've been a first Huddersfield route and they are much more reliable than stagecoach in Manchester But what do you think about it?
They both could of shared it with first Huddersfield and bee network running it and sharing runs eg bee network run it Monday to Thursday and first Huddersfield run some journeys on Friday - Sunday with bee network
Overall tranche 2 of the bee network has so far been very problematic lots of no show buses especially in areas where lots of people with no cars and bus passes rely on them. Hopefully in the next few weeks things will improve
Nothing to blame the driver for at all. However time the traffic commissioner nipped this in the bud. Stagecoach are contracted and should be able to guarantee to run an hourly service. Not good enough sorry. We at Worksop have a fantastic team of drivers, who do their very best, but are working work a rapidly aging fleet impossible timetabling, and general traffic problems. companies really have lost their discipline since Covid. As far as I was aware the majority of services should not run more than 1 minute early or five minutes late. Time for the regulator to use some teeth I think.
I could not agree more with your comments, I think a visit from the TC in a few weeks once the 'teething period' is over would be beneficial. From my limited experience with Worksop services I've never had an issue, the vehicles are far older than those on the Bee Network yet the drivers can still keep them running and to time much better!
@simonk8270 yeah sad but I'm happy to see them running around like i rarely see them on other services if needed mainly I saw a alx400 on a 22x then as soon as it got back to Rotherham it became a 19A to Dinnington
Oh for the days of the old 365, all the way from Bradford Interchange to Manchester Arndale Bus Station....
Very interesting to see "Bee Network" vehicles in Huddersfield but it is nice that this service will still be ran. Good video Alex!
Aye they do make the sight in Huddersfield, thanks I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
THAT voice Talking about Bee network! YAAASSSS
Yorkshire was an interesting place back in the day. Black Prince had the epic Ailsas.
Sheffield's Dominators. It was crazy back then!
Feels really weird I was driving this bus to the Trafford centre a few months ago

Thank you for your kind words, aye it'll be interesting to see tranche 3 kick off!

Time to do a Bee Network challenge from Huddersfield to Warrington on one ticket?
There are plans!

Aye unfortunately its not had a great start, hopefully with some intervention the post-teething period can be better

What app do you use for bus tracking?

@@AndMoreCentral yes ok
Halifax new??
Do you know why the 184 has teething issues?

@@declangaming24 yeah they could've done that
first Huddersfield where going to withdraw the service back in December until it got funded to carry on
The 184 has had many different things on it
Aye there is certainly variety at the moment!
BTW Alex I'm the one who saw you with xav in leeds on 29

Worksop still have the presidents and alx400s running around on the 19/19A from Rotherham - Worksop via Dinnington
@@declangaming24 yes and some of them are becoming less reliable by the day. We only have three buses I think that are age less than 10 years old

Doubt the BYD Electric buses will last long. Hard environment for Chinese stuff. Expect disasters! ;(
