It's funny, I heard this tune before I even saw one of his tech tales vids. So, once I heard this in his vids, I recognized it right away. He also uses some Jazz Jackrabbit tunes in some vids.
@@DiodeMilliampere aww well would it be ok with your permission to use this particular music for streaming, as well as on TikTok & Instagram Stories/Reels?
@@sailor_mikey I think I'd probably rather avoid that because then the audio will become attributed to whatever account uploads it and it might cause me issues later
So the D#3/D#2 is set to a low drone with a lot of ring mod, so something like a variable voltage control oscillator (VCO) in this bass octave at the outro. (Maybe even heavy use of LPF/HPF here.) Then I heard the glissando (the porta-up or portamento up) of the bass octave before it was all over.
Hey, I just found your works thanks to LGR, gotta say man I'm really impressed, both the production and final quality of the tracks is extremely well done, I don't know if you keep doing this, but if it is that way I wish you the best. Now i'm gonna make a little touring on your bandcamp and soundcloud if you don't mind. Thanks for the awesome music.
I am guessing on that long low E you use a VCO that starts minimally, and then you bring it to 11 for maximum filtering. Maybe also adding a LPF (low-pass filter) to add to the filtering.
VCO - basically says what it is - it takes out some of the electrical voltage or adds to it to a certain pitch, changing the sound effect greatly of a frequency of the pitch, making it less discordant or more discordant. I am guessing that less voltage into a frequency will mean anything filtered there would have "distortion" sounds replacing those actual harmonics.
came from a Janus Cycle video, great tune
Such a rich sound and often I’m scratching my head thinking “THATS FM??”. Fantastic.
Amazing. Those tunes inspired me to get into the OPL-3 synthesis.
thank you :)
I have a Sound Blaster 16 CT1740 and Sound Blaster Pro 2.0 CT1600.

very soothing and mellow. kind of reminds me of Paul Hardcastle's "Rainforest" at times
I keep coming back to this at least a couple of times a month. Absolutely brilliant tunes
God I love that you filmed this on a Libretto, I need to get mine working again so I can play with its OPL3 chip :)
I really like how relaxed this one is. This is nice.
You guys deserve more publicity and fame. Keep up the awesome work and TFS.
Thanks!
Such a great piece. I've listened to this about 5 or 6 times now!
Wow man this is so amazing! Big ups for the method you use and the tune is excellent as well!!!
2:35 I like sliding the global volume for a sidechain effect.
Thank you for great music
I gotta love this beautiful music. You should put this up on Spotify, TikTok as well as Instagram Stories/Reels in the near future.
thanks. I dont promote this project anymore 'cuz i consider it defunct, so I dont have any reason to put it on insta or tiktok

do you have the module for this one?
Ya
@@DiodeMilliampere fuck yeah
just noticed it comes with the program lol
Holly fuck, how can you get that out of a OPL3 ? Amazing !
Which machine is this? I'm looking for a laptop with a decent OPL3 implementation.
its a 70ct but ill sell you a 50CT. Make me an offer ;)
Hmm, interesting... it's quite small. I got a ThinkPad 701c, but if the 50CT has a good OPL3 or clone I might be into that. How's the condition?
it's in very very good condition. almost unused
Sweet Baby Jesus! Porta^
I would like to play this natively on my Sound Blaster AWE32. Can we purchase the tracker file?
Sure, if you order some version on bandcamp I will send you the file. Put a note in the purchase so I know it's you
That sexy asf bass tho
Great tune! How did you achieve the PWM-like bass timbre with FM? Thanks a lot for sharing.
two channels detuned from eachother
Simple enough! Thanks!
STOP.. BOOM
This is pretty awesome! :D
Btw, was this recorded from a Nintendo DS or a laptop? I'm curious.
1999 Toshiba Libretto ultraportable palmtop with OPL3 soundchip
Diode Milliampere funny that they put those chips everywhere.. I have a dual pentium 2 server that has an OPL3!
so rare these days, those librettos go for lots of money on ebay
@@DiodeMilliampere I have a Pentium 100 MHz PC with a sound blaster pro 2.0 CT1600 with a OPL3.
I think someone made a sythwave track out of it. Is that Mitch Murder?
Arun Abraham really?
I heard this tune as a synthwave. But dont remember who or what album
What is the song name?
