- Hi folks. Welcome to this week's update.
Been busy trying to improve my soldering tmfor the leds. Lots of fiddling with silver tape to prevent light bleed between the decks.
Been working on a base and planning a harbour scene.

Ive built 3 of these and yessir the winch is tge anchor windlass and those are the anchor chains
If youll notice there is only 1 anchor hawse pipe on the bow but yet 2 anchor chains. I drilled mine out and added the other anchor.

@troycampbell4095 oh, you added an anchor on the other side? Cool idea. Thanks for confirming, I guess I'll drill those out and will pop some chain down the holes. You built 3? All this version, or previous ones (Volga or Kandahaar)?

1st was out of box build then the other 2 were doing something different the thing i like most about this kit you have lots of room to detail it.
@troycampbell4095 indeed. I keep finding new bits I want to do. Like those anchor chain holes now 😀 👍 thanks for the advice. What paint schemes did you do on yours? You don't seem to have videos on youtube. You on scalemates?
@@m0rce1 yes sir i am having issue with doing any posting on tube.
But my last build i sea foam green hull and grey deck,dull red anti fouling .
I basicaly rebuilt both winches i found the detail too soft. I used 1/200 scale photo etch railings and ladders as you did i opened the windows and tarped the whale boat and strapped it down. Added mast lights and replaced those godaweful nubs of plasti (pullies) on the gallows frames. Added diesel and generator exhaust through funnel and a boiler vent , funnels on boat deck and reworked the radar assemblies. I like your lighting idea. Maybe next build ill give it a go myself.
