As ex services, this stove was not used in my time, we had the old reliable hexi which saved our bacon, as well as cook it, many times. I now have this very stove as well as the crusader MKII cook system and go nowhere without it. I enjoy amateur radio in the field (portable) as a hobby and this little stove does the job brilliantly for a hot brew. Thank you for sharing.

I do love the smell of hexi (just a shame it's poisonous). Thanks for your service and for watching! Stay safe!

    Greetings from the States.
Liked your succinct review of the sturdy BCB folding stove. What a nice outing brewing up some tea seaside on a brisk morning with the sound of the breaking waves dominating the video.
I just bought one online with fuel tabs and gel fuel here and am looking forward to using it. Looks like the Welsh put out the best version of the folding solid fuel stove with the windscreen included.
On my Esbit version, I made a windscreen out of a heavy pie tin and snips(sanding down the edges so as not to draw blood.
    Cheers!

Simple yet very effective! This is definitely an improvement on the old hexi design that's for sure! Thanks for watching!

They are a cheap throw away stove really. Use it for a few months then throw it away and buy a new one. They are cheap enough. People expect to much from them. They are a quick fix that does the job.
When you throw your first one away keep the wind deflector. Then you can have a wind deflector on both sides when using your new one. Concentrates the heat more and reduces boil times.
You can blow it out from the side but be careful you don’t burn your beard. 😲
