The number of beautiful ps2 shots in this video is too dam high! Love the video, cant wait for more. Each shot you do is cinematic in a different way, and they go perfectly with the speed of the music. Great job, -YourAverageGamerPC
Your hard work paid off! What a great video you shot, applied mucho post time to, and then edited.....10/10 all around great work and a sub from me and anyone i know who hasn't seen this video yet. the tempo of the shots + music tempo was spot on. pat yourself on the back!
I have, but not while flying a Scythe. Should have thought of that! A reaver is terrible for it so I just discarded the idea. You got some really awesome shots that I never thought were possible without the observer cam. You're more creative than I! Well done. I am taking notes.
thanks! I agree that it could be better here and there. I did intend for the tracers to be warping though (or rather I liked the result and kept it in). but some shots lag a bit and a couple of shots warped a bit much. still I personally thought a most of the warping/stuttering worked together with the music. what I need is a better gpu and an optimized game to make it perfectly smooth, otherwise I would have to scratch some shots. I sacrificed some smoothness for it. thanks for the feedback ^^
about the shots from the sky. have you tried filming with an esf with 2x rotary zoom? at least in scythes, you only get a tiny piece of the cockpit showing at the bottom of the screen. when editing you either zoom in a bit to get rid of the cockpit or use black frames like I do in a lot of videos. some shots are even better to do that way than with the observer camera since it handles totally different. I still use those methods. also hud-less 2x zoom on the lib gunner seat is great.
thanks, mate! well, at least the number of subs have been rising quite steady this week. had about 130 subscribers before the last video was uploaded. so I feel pretty grateful anyhow :)
TH0R95 thanks, mate! I really do appreciate it. believe me. I will try to make more good videos, even though it feels hard to try to top some of the stuff I've done before that I personally feel quite proud of. it kind of makes you sometimes feel everything new you do is not good enough. but I will keep trying even if it doesn't turn out to be super awesome ^^
try it out with hoover stability and 2x zoom in the VR on a vs character! also the lib gunner seat with zoom. though you will probably need someone flying it. well, don't get me wrong. of course I use the tools I've been given, which also make some things easier. but not always. like I said, you can't do certain stuff with the observer cam. like move like an esf and film with angles like you can in an esf for example. I wouldn't say I'm more creative than you, but thank you :)
I had a lot of luck. there's no special way to get it as far as I know. I made some videos, someone with connections liked them and asked me if I wanted to help out pro7 with filming during eu events when they need a couple of people filming some cinematic and action footage, even maybe some editing. in return I got access. they don't really hand it out easily (no surprise, since it could be abused). my only advice is keep making good cinematic videos. I wish I could help out more :/
thanks mate. did you get my pm here on yt? I know yt it's not that intuitive when it comes to communication, but anyways. I'll tell you more of how I did it if you want to.
How did you get the pullback from the tower at about 2:20? What about that shot following the galaxy just before that? Finally, what about the ending shot where you look at the water, look up and then rise?
How did you get access to the observer cam? There are some awesome shots you can get with it if you aren't tied to the ground, as you showed in this video.
yeah, I know what you mean, heh. well, the tracer warping I like though. but some clips could be smoother, I agree. I'm still pretty new at this and I really need a new computer. ideally you need a steady 120 fps to make it super smooth in all situations. not the easiest to accomplish ;) anyway, thanks mate! more will come :)
I agree. but to be fair, in my opinion you shouldn't even compare those two games. an mmofps with room for wide scale strategy, a huge and persistent world versus a tight and immersive match based fps. I will play some mindless bf4 rounds now and then since it's fun. and I will keep on playing ps2 for the grand and epic feeling it induces and the (mostly) mature and awesome community that I haven't found in any other game. as I see it there's no need for competition between the two.
This video really shows the beauty of Planetside.
This is great work. So placid, serene. Love it. Keep em comin' lilbabs!
I sometimes rewatch these PS2 videos just to remember all the good times I had in this game.
You don't get enough credit for these incredible visuals.
This is exactly the kind of montage I expect from planetside 2, great work!
This is undoubtedly the best PlanetSide2 videos I think I've ever seen! Really great work.

I miss the Nvidia particle effects, explosions and Physx this game used to have. Not to mention the more detailed textures and camo. =(
Look at all these graphics I'll never be able to see in the game because I'll never have a great gaming PC.
I really enjoyed the video, but if you were using twixter, you may need to work on that for smoother slow motion.
What shoot red Lazers
Gregory Martinez like is there a assult rifle that shoot red Lazers
+Shahid Harmon TR shoots red tracer rounds.
Holy shit, 1440p! :O
Damn dude 1440p
