I watched this video on UA-cam 2 days after launch and it was breathtaking. After all these years and listening to it hundreds of times, it is still a masterpiece that is unparalleled.
This is why Tesla is having production delays. Their robots are busy with their side gigs.

This looks like it was pretty expensive to make and took some time to get everything right. This is the most incredible music video I think I've ever seen. Everything is so perfectly synched- it's a blast to watch!

@@julkakolbasylka it's a digital signal being sent to a robot to hit an analogue drum so it can be recorded by an analogue microphone pickup and sent to a converter (called and ADC) to be converted back into another digital signal. It's completely unnecessary but utterly delightful

I am absolutely blown away. I programmed Robotic arms for many, many years, and have been a musician for 45 years, and always wanted to do this. Amazing. Got chills!

@@corbinyoung6979 - The only CGI work are the sparks, laser and post-processing effects. Likely done in After Effects, and some compositing done in Maya, which is also the app used to program the bots. @@CoruscationsOfIneptitude It's 100% CGI in the vid sorry. Its clear as day. The first bit with the laser cutter shows that easily. The keys on the piano/keyboard are not being pressed down, the guitar is not being strummed properly.
It's still a very, very impressive blend of CGI with film, but it is not real.

Use your eyes and look for yourself. Look at the little details. The lighting is off on the robots, their movements are off. When they hit piano keys the keys aren't being pressed down etc as I said before.
He might be having actual robots play the music but if so why fake the video?

Those are actually robotic arms playing instruments. But no, they didn't have a robotic arm shoot a 100 billion watt laser around destroying the set.
I knew mixing those elements of reality and fiction would make it look entirely fake to some people... here you are as proof.

You know that feeling when you discover something that tickles your mind and make you smile? Yes! ❤
It's 2023 and this gets better with age. The classic terminator vibe and the construction of the whole video is still impressive. We need more of this. A lot more.
I like how the programmer gave the robots small and slow motions when they're not playing. It's most noticable on the piano bots, it looks like they're drifting a bit when not playing. It mimics human behavior, and isn't necessary, but makes it feel more natural.

I am reaching the end of my 45 year long career as an aircraft machinist. I saw NC ( Numerical Control ) machines come into my company in the early 80's. Now they are CNC ( Computer Numerical Control ) machines and the newest models are nothing short of amazing.

Well, you only ever see three robot arms. The laser at the beginning is CGI and I'm guessing that quite a few other frames are composited to make it look like there are twnty robots working. I also doubt that he was reallt walking between the robots that way... one bug and he's off to hospital...

@@guermanruschke944 the robots playing instruments are real. those robots are made for high-precision factory work, they just need to be set properly. there are some behind the scene videos if you check.
Guerman Ruschke-I believe the only CGI in this video are the lasers, otherwise it’s all flesh and blood...or factory grade titanium and lubricant...
@@guermanruschke944 He shows the robots playing bass and piano in a different video. I do believe however that the footage is sped up so the robots wouldn't apply too much force or malfunction. He also completely removed the dry recording otherwise you would hear mostly squeaks and whirs from the joints.

I'm a CNC engineer (I work with industrial robots), and they really can do that. The laser thing is not quite like that and is definitely CG, but it's still cool.
Just want to add that there are lasers that powerful, and even more powerful, but they work close to the material as they have to focus on the surface, but in theory you could build a focusing system to get them to do that. Also as you can probably tell, these robots are as fast as they are powerful, and it's VERY dangerous to be around them. They could crush a human in an instant.
Watching him walk through them perfectly timed, made me cringe.
Scary but awesome.
I'm thinking a good portion of these shots (like him walking in between the three arms while they are moving) is CGI.
thanks you answered some questions i had while i dont roll my eyes at CGI because we now live in an age were CGI can make things better and not noticeable and does cut back on budget cost , i wanted to know if the lasers could really do that , but yeah i know what you mean i have seen these robots build a lot of stuff or assist in the building of like cars

@@rasmusandersen2007 it may not be fake. In fact it's very unlikely as we have already seen those robots and they are identical to the ones in that shot. It would be downright stupid to do that with CGI when he already had the robots there, not to mention the difficulty and cost of doing so

Как ценителю я рекомендую послушать Ziu - Guardian. И вообще все его треки отличные, душевные. Жалко, что он пропал просто из соц сетей. Но я его давно слушаю. Сам пишу музыку с 2006, как музыкант я рекомендую его послушать. Качество конечно могло быть лучше, но вся суть в том, что все это гармонирует с мелодией.

Лично меня сильно-сильно напрягает погром в конце и сцена резки металла в начале. Они полностью обесценивают идею, что можно "автоматизировать" исполнение. Становится ясно, что это чисто визуальная аниматроника, не имеющая отношения к собственно исполнению. Также, напрягают искуственные экраны управляющего софта.
В августе я сотворил что и он разрушил все к чему шел всю жизнь 30 лет разрезал скальпелем !!!
