Queen ruled 77-89 is crazy great reaction 👍
I think Queen was creeping back up in 2017-2020 because of the movie, so they gain more younger fans.
Huge Ritchie Blackmore fan here.. amazing how well he has done in Purple and Rainbow.. 2 bands up there jesus
That was fun
This was super fun ! Queen ruled longer than I thought but I noticed the year Freddie died Queen just quickly slipped away for years before they came back. The Beatles were a surprise. I expected them to stay on top much longer than they did. Great fun ✌🏼😊
Totally OT from this reaction: I just watched your Queen at Wembley reactions and how you expressed surprise that Brian May used a slide during Radio Gaga. Not sure if you noticed, he also uses it in Tie Your Mother Down during his solo. And if you look at it at the Milton Keynes version, you clearly see him pull it from his guitar strap.
On this reaction, really interesting. And amazing how many years Queen absolutely ruled at the top, not to mention still being up high all these years later.
According to Universal Music, All Queen albums were remastered and reissued in 2011. This was part of a new record deal between Queen and Universal Music.
Pearl Jam's first album was released in 1991 before Nirvana's and had a little success. When Nevermind was released and made grunge explose in 1992, Ten and Pearl Jam went huge.
Very interesting video. Amazing to see Queen rise and fall and rise again and again. They really know how to keep themselves relevant in addition to having music with universal themes.
Queen, The Greatest Band of the Universe 👑❤
It's remarkable how Queen dominated the 80's, which has to be one of the toughest decades to be at the top.
When it comes to the 90's, they were bound to drop the list because of Freddie Mercury death in 91.
Still with that said, Queen started rising again in 2010 and overall, Queen did a lot better than I expected, I knew they were a big band but didn't realise how big.
Though they broke up in 1976, Deep Purple remained a top seller until 1980. Then re-emerging in 1981. Also great to see Yes on there.
Oasis was super popular in Canada in the 90s ❤🇨🇦
Surprised to see Ramones, The Clash and The Cure on here. 👍
THAT WAS FUN, I'VE WATCHED MANY OF THOSE. YOU HAVEN'T REACTED TO THE BAND CHICAGO? I WAS A HUGE CHICAGO FAN, I HAD ALL THEIR ALBUMS "SATURDAY IN THE PARK". KANSAS IS AN INCREDIBLE BAND, "CARRY ON WAYWARD SON" AND " DUST IN THE WIND". THAT WAS FUN RORY!! 💙
😊💓🤘✌️🔥🔥🔥🔥 THANK YOU TYSON FOR THIS AWESOME REQUEST!!
I totally agree with you @laurawatters914. Rory really needs to listen to Kansas and my fav: early Chicago LIVE with Terry Kath on guitar and vocals! I think the wind instruments in this FANTASTIC band will blow his mind. I bet Rory will say, "THIS IS FIRE"!!!!
@@lindamaclellan4899 I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU TOO!! I LOVE EARLY CHICAGO TOO!! I BABYSAT JUST TO BUY RECORDS, MY TEENAGE DAYS!! AND KANSAS IS INCREDIBLE BAND WITH VARIOUS INSTRUMENTS!! BOTH BANDS ARE AWESOME!! I HOPE RORY CHECKS THEM OUT AND SAYS " THAT WAS FIRE 🔥 THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING! 😊 🩷 🤘 ✌️
Thing is I never hear about Muse... Where are all these people listening to Muse? They rly been #1 for like two decades😂
That list is weird, I think that best-selling albums doesn't necessarily reflect the bands and artists that were popular concert draws, or bands that were just talked about alot. KISS were easily the biggest thing on wheels in 1977, and ELO were massively popular with songs charting constantly in the late 70s, Van Halen, AC DC and OZZY totally dominated the scene in the early 80s.
I think this list is including the 'sleeper sales' phenomenom which is the records that sell MORE at later dates than when first released. Like Pink Floyd, Queen, and Zeppelin, their sales would often excelerate much later, snd groups like Rush who actuslly outsold most other groups over time, the sales accumulated enough to rival the Beatles..
Long live Deep Purple 💪
Skid Row is not proper metal 🤣 Guess I'll send you a Chicago, Kansas, REO Speedwagon request :p
No rush not even when moving pictures came out
No rush 😢. They were the best forsure,(toto)😂😂😂😂one song rosanna😢.
Firehouse?
I have no f*cking clue who Muse even is
A sort of Radiohead's copycat (Muse's fans are going to kill me 😂)
eye opening list!!! u2 only became most popular late 90s??? guns and roses top with only 2 albums? i know they were popular but thats ridiculous!! i had no idea deep purple were THAT popular, more than led zep! and that pink floyd were that UNpopular!! and muse dominating for 10 yrs lol WAT DA!! and scorpions?? one republic??
i think its about "coolness", that explains u2s relative unpopularity, u2 were never "cool"
Gotta disagree about U2. They were *very* cool at the beginning, in the early to late 80s ...(albums Boy, War, October...Under a Blood Red Sky, Unforgettable Fire) -- up until Joshua Tree. Then the over-comercialization eclipsed the songwriting.
@@LydellC theyre my favourite band, but their fashion was goofy and clueless in the 80s. and they had the "earnest" "religious" aura, that splits the public, a "cult" band, despite being "rocks hottest ticket" in 1987. in the 90s they were much more savvy and aware of style, making fun of it, irony etc. and the songwriting remained top quality. more danceable, that made them open to a broader demographic. funky basslines, cooler.
@@LydellCMY FAVORITE U2 ALBUMS ARE JOSHUA TREE AND RATTLE AND HUM. 😊🩷🤘✌️🔥
Waste of time video.
Muse RULES
Imagine Dragons are one of the worst, most DOUCHE CHILLING bands of all time
