I am half korean and half american and now live in Columbus Ohio moving from Dayton Ohio and I can say not much has changed even now when you spoke about how racist people are here they truly are and have done their best to make my life miserable. They truly do play victim when you defend yourself from the slandering words they call you. I have been discriminated against and treated horribly due to my race. Even so far as a white gentleman trying to cut up my driver's license in Troy Ohio. I love that you speak up for all Asian Americans and truly hope to get to meet you one day!
Your story mesmerizes me with how badly I wanted to become an so proud American from not so proud of Korean identity by ACT LIKE American , WALK LIKE , TALK LIKE , SMELL LIKE , FEEL LIKE an American when I landed here at the age of 30. 영어 발음이 버벅대고 영어 말빨이 좀 딸린다고해서 사람취급을 들 떨어지게 받던 치욕스런 그 옛날시절이 생각나네요 America seems like a fun place to enjoy living when you find yourself speak up and letting your voice heard and show them what you can do for their never been solved problems, concerns and headaches. That will make it easier to be treated and respected as a true human being in stead of as a part of any particular skin color or family background.
