      Thanks for checking out the video! Much appreciated. I’m currently using 12lb Strike King Flourocarbon for the jigs.

    Nice! the big one had a single mini fin. Would be easy to identify if caught again.

    Thanks a lot! The jigs you’re using are not necessarily too heavy that is just my preference. I do also prefer the lighter jigs because they don’t penetrate the algae quite so much. But if what I say helps then great! Cheers!

    Yessir! Wow what a good day. And so many different baits that got the bite.
    But no surprise it was the jig that got the most and biggest fish.
    I always learn something new and in this video I realize the jigs I use are too heavy. They don’t get a chance to slow fall and flutter.
    Great video, tasty lookin beer, always entertaining and educational. Thanks brotha.

      Thanks! It was a great day for sure. I actually have an El Cap video coming out next week. I like the jig there as well(Green Pumpkin and Purple). But I also really like the Ned Rig there. Cheers!

    Chris Brandt! Local San Diego angler here, got myself a ticket for Barrett this coming Saturday and I have never been to Barrett, was wondering if you could answer some questions for me as I am hoping to have a successful day on the water, you have inspired me to start up my youtube channel hopefully in the near future. Anyways here are my questions,
    1. Is the float tube ticket good for a kayak?
    2. Would i be able to camp at the gate?
    3. What should I throw? I was thinking finesse jigs on a BFS rod craws and shad fry, glide bait if they are on top, crankbait, and the good old fashioned drop shot.

      Hey thanks so much for reaching out. I’m honored to inspire. As for Barrett the tube spot can be used for a Yak as well. You can sleep in your car if you want but don’t pitch a tent at the gate. The gate will open around 4:30am. Stick to your game plan for the baits and stay with what baits you know best. Your game plan sounds good. Enjoy the experience on this amazing fishery. Every day is different of course but there should be some busters. Good luck out there.

    Great vid and congrats on the 7 pounder. I was there yesterday, pretty good response to the 5" weightless senkos texas rigged. Love to try the Jig, do you have a link or name for what you like?

    Did you pay at the gate when you arrived or bought a ticket online?

    • @chrisbrandtthebeefshaman
      @chrisbrandtthebeefshaman  3 місяці тому +1

      Thanks for checking out the video! This time of the year I just pay at the gate. I don’t feel like paying the extra service fees if I don’t have to. Cheers!
